Their chocolate bomb is the BOMB!! Share it with another chocolate enthusiast! We split it 3 ways (and I still remember my first bite)

Came here for breakfast and almost stayed for lunch! This bakery specializes in delicious recipes made from simple natural ingredients. We had an amazing French toast made with apple, raisin, walnut bread topped with fresh apples and bacon crumble. This was followed by one of the best sugar crepes I've ever tasted. We took several pies home for the family... More

I've eaten here a number of times, but this is the first time I've ventured into the world of cinnamon rolls. A crispy, flaky, buttery croissant texture, dripping with icing and flavored with cinnamon, it is now one of my favorites! Not to miss!

Although the apple pie is great the speciality of this place is the special pastries and cakes, all prepared daily by the former head chef of a South California major hotel. A wonderful break and alternative from the more traditional fare elsewhere in Julian for lunch. A fair choice of vegetarian options too. But make sure you leave room for... More

Julian is a tourist town that seems to exist just to sell apple pies and candy but we did find one place that served a nice, low key lunch. We may have caught the "post lunch lull" but it as not busy when we arrived. Seating is very limited (about 10 max) so if you are there during a peak... More

I have had soup, sandwiches and other treats but never the pie. I will definitely get pie again ti go. Chief Charles... More

The award-winning chef and owner obviously takes pride in the creation of his food. He used wholesome ingredients and produced some wonderful desserts and lunch items. We had the chocolate eclair and a macaroon, both of which were the best I've ever had!

To be honest, I stopped here because there was an empty parking space - I was driving through Julian as a scenic detour and circled the block a few times. I was hoping for cappuccino and a cookie, but you have to wait in line in front of the bakery cases, and the big menu board, and the bargain bread... More

Have now eaten twice at The Candied Apple in Julian. It was recommended by another local business owner and we can see why! Charles, the owner and chef is not only a fantastic cook, he is personable, welcoming and fun! This is not the "run of the mill" sandwich and soup you generally find at a deli. Awesome combinations of... More

Great place for a bite to eat and wonderful desserts. Lots of food selections for nonmeat eaters. Very helpful staff and I would definitely go back.
