My wife and I arrived in the Julian area Friday afternoon. We were camping at William Heise Park. After setting up camp we went into town and found the Fajita Grill. A charming little restaurant nicely decorated. We were welcomed by friendly staff and had a wonderful dinner. The Enchilada Mole had the best mole sauce that I have had.... More

Stopped off for lunch in a visit to Julien. It was lovely. Good menu. Great value lunch options. The shrimp (really big and fresh!) fajitas, fish tacos and chicken enchilada were fantastic. BUT the star was the apple pie. DELICIOUS. Homemade and with a crumble topping. Served warm with ice cream. Yummmmmmmmm! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We didn't... More

We enjoyed a lunch at this little cafe one afternoon while we were visiting the Julian area. It's a very cozy, very "local" sort of place. The food was good, the portions huge, the service friendly and efficient. It was a nice, relaxing lunch in Julian.

We were a group of 7. The inside is festively decorated but very small and cramped, so instead we sat out on the open deck which is pretty basic and laid-back in style: scuffed-up plastic patio chairs/tables, no table cloths, etc.. The food was fresh, good, and as far as food portions, they ranged from good to crazy huge. Dishes,... More

The upstairs patio is very cute, looks over main street, and is Pet friendly, the food is excellent but a little spicy so if your a wimp like I am just tell them little or no spice.

Oh heavens, this food was horrible. We arrived late and got our order to go because they were about to close. The employees were very nice and accommodating. My husband ordered the fish burrito and I had the carne asada burrito. The fish was tasteless and they poured this gross red (not enchilada) sauce on the outside of the burrito.... More

Small cafe with inside and outside dining, small tables, traditional California Mexican cafe decor. The food was very good, fresh, hot. The waitress seemed tired, bored, and uninterested in people. She brought the food to us, but no personality. This is a small town with a tourism base, so usually people are a little more lively and welcoming. Some kid... More
