A local at the Gold Mine (it was a GR8 tour) suggested this place to us and it was a great value with their lunch and pie (a la mode) special for $10 from 11-3. The potato soup tasted homemade and the salad was fresh and crisp. Our 1/2 turkey sandwich was made to order, ample & tasty . The... More

It is so hard to find a gluten-free pie any where! Purchased a whole gluten -free boysenberry apple pie! It was so very delicious! Certainly will be craving this pie when I arrive back home! Will be back next time I am back in San Diego.

We have been coming to Julian for years and have tried the pies from all the bakeries in Julian and Apple Alley bakery has absolutely the best pies. I have eaten apple pie all over the USA and this is apple pie Heaven. We live in Rancho Cucamonga Ca. about 120 miles from Julian and when I am in the... More

We drove into town after a hike on a local trail and found Julian packed. Was a big festival going on this particular Saturday. Lines everywhere to get pies or tables to eat at. I had been to Apple Alley once before and decided to go back for a slice of pie. Love the little outside area to eat in.... More

This is a phenomenal bakery, serving food as well. The best part was the availability of gluten-free pies for my wife, who has not had a commercial pie, such as these, for years. . The owner is extremely fastidious in producing absolutely safe food, for which we laud her.

Apple Alley Bakery in Julian was recommended to us during our recent weekend visit by two locals in town. Just the thought of a carmel apple pecan pie was enough to convince us that this was our best choice for take-home apple pies to share with friends and neighbors! We ordered 4 pies to take home the next day -... More

Stopped in for lunch and ordered the $9.95 special. It included a half sandwich, cup of soup, chips and a slice of pie. The sandwiches are freshly made to order, exactly the way you order it, which was a nice surprise as so many places just don't get it. This place not only gets it, they deliver it with a... More

After a horrible lunch, we took a drive out to see the lake. Thought there would be more places there to walk around, but drove back to have pie. A friend had told us that Apple Alley was her favorite, so we took a chance. It was great. I had warmed Caramel Pecan Apple with vanilla ice cream. Husband had... More

I always come here for apple pie, they have the best. Traditional or crumb. Yummy! They a have a big indoor seating area or seating outside in the back.
