That pretty much sums it up - this bar/restaurant is a little hole-in-the-wall-ish but the food is very good and it's a great location right outside the entrance Joshua Tree National Park. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and in several trips there to date, haven't had anything on the menu that I didn't like!

This place was great. For a couple of Brits fairly fresh off the 'plane it was a taste of real America. Not touristy. Full of locals. It seemed to be open mike night - lots of different performers of varying quality just added to the great atmosphere. The food (good honest steaks, burgers etc.) was very good. The sweet potato... On Saturday nights they have bands in, when I was there I saw an all girl three piece called Littlewild who were brilliant. The staff are very friendly and as for the food, it's looks great, and tastes even better. Would I eat there again? yes please.

Ok, so we came out to JTNP to see the park, hike, and enjoy the great outdoors. But at night, it fun to hang out at a good ole saloon. JT Saloon delivered. This is, btw, the ONLY bar in Joshua Tree. Looking forward to tonight's Bob Dylan tribute.

Nice place to hang out, eat, watch sports, shoot pool, before or after visiting the park. Dark, cool, and rustic inside. Friendly waitstaff and great deals on steaks Saturday afternoons. Be advised- the sign says 1-7pm but they usually run out by 4pm.

We walked from the Safari Inn, and enjoyed the rock and roll, the wood booths, tables, and long bar. The friendly waiter recommended the pastrami, which was a hit, and their grilled cheese was toasted just right, enough to melt the cheese, but not moosh the tomatoes or burn the bread. The highlight (besides the miner's milk local beer and... More

The place is funky but the food is fabulous. You must try the BBQ chicken sandwich Southwest style. I don't know when I enjoyed a sandwich so much. The onion rings were cooked to perfection. The portions are generous. The service is friendly and efficient.

After a day spent hiking in blustery weather we were delighted to stop for lunch at the JTS. The four of us were hungry and thirsty and were not disappointed. Cold draught and big fat juicy burgers hit the spot. The service was great and the staff friendly. The prices are very good too. Would not hesitate to return.

We dropped in for lunch after visiting the excellent gift shop next door and , having got past the ramshackle exterior, were pleasantly surprised to find a comfortable and buzzing interior. The menu was extensive and the food very acceptable if not outstanding. My wife enjoyed the fish tacos. Service was pleasant and efficient.

If you are looking for a great western themed, relaxed place to eat, give Joshua Tree Saloon a try for lunch. They are open for breakfast, lunch and supper, but I have only been there for lunch. Burgers are great and 1/2 lb with a great bun, and homemade cole slaw or fries. My husband commented that it was the... More
