The epicenter of Sonoma Coast dining...the River's End is located in the quaint village of Jenner by the Sea about 20 minutes north of Bodega Bay. The restaurant is set on a bluff overlooking the Russian River spill into the Pacific Ocean. During lunch you can watch the Osprey dive in the river for fish or the harbor seals frolic at riverside. Dinner time is all about the sunset ... the show is worth the visit. Fortunately, the restaurant chefs and service staff aim to outdo the natural surroundings. The kitchen prepares California cuisine with a focus on local ingredients. Chef Martin Recoder prepares menus that are changing with the seasons and delight the heart. The service staff is led by Maitre d'/Owner Bert Rangel, who has owned and managed the restaurant for over 10 years. The Chef in the Redwood Bar is talented Patrick Keane. Trained at the French Culinary Institute, Patrick utilizes the freshest ingredients and classic techniques to create truly “Artisanal Cocktails”.

Excellent View, Good Food

Excellent service. Food is good, nothing you can't find anywhere else. They do use a different variety of vegetables and spices to bring out flavors. Expect to spend a lot of money 💸$$$$

Below is a copy of an email I sent to the proprietor: "I just wanted to write about an experience my fiance and I just had at your restaurant. In short, it was lovely. I rarely write directly to companies unless something is remarkable, either good or bad! Short rundown, we were able to secure a reservation for 5:30 on... More

This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants anywhere in the world. The views are spectacular, the food and drinks are amazing. On more than one occasion I have driven 2+ hours just for the ceviche. I have tried ceviche while traveling all over the world, River's End remains my gold standard.

A table by the window affords one of the best views anywhere while dining. The restaurant overlooks the estuary of the Russian River where it enters the Pacific Ocean. A significant amount of wildlife can also be seen. Service was quick and efficient with a full bar selection. Food was great and well presented but prices are on the high... More

As others have shared, this spot is the place to be for sunset views while dining. This spot is quite scenic as you view the Russian River enter the Pacific Ocean. Seals can be seen swimming down below. We did get a window seat which was delightful and recommended. My only complaint was that the restaurant has an outdoor narrow... More

We arrived just in time for sunset and a spectacular one it was. The food, the wine, the service, the ambiance were all top notch. Highly recommend this place but be prepared for very tight and limited parking!

Our family had a beautiful dinner prepared with the finest organic vegetables, sauces and love our compliments to the Chef! The bartender and our waitress were very knowledgeable and attentive. We would highly recommend the Napoleon, Beet salad, and vegie pasta. They not only tasted superb but were almost too appealing to eat! The beet salad was prepared in a... More

I booked this restaurant as part of my husband's birthday weekend excursion to Napa Valley because I had read and heard that it was not to be missed. I would certainly agree - The view was astonishing since the restaurant is perched high atop a cliff. We arrived about an hour before sunset, so we were able to take in... More
