Description: The epicenter of Sonoma Coast dining...the River's End is located in the quaint village of Jenner by the Sea about 20 minutes north of Bodega Bay. The restaurant is set on a bluff overlooking the Russian River spill into the Pacific Ocean. During lunch you can watch the Osprey dive in the river for fish or the harbor seals frolic at riverside. Dinner time is all about the sunset ... the show is worth the visit. Fortunately, the restaurant chefs and service staff aim to outdo the natural surroundings. The kitchen prepares California cuisine with a focus on local ingredients. Chef Martin Recoder prepares menus that are changing with the seasons and delight the heart. The service staff is led by Maitre d'/Owner Bert Rangel, who has owned and managed the restaurant for over 10 years. The Chef in the Redwood Bar is talented Patrick Keane. Trained at the French Culinary Institute, Patrick utilizes the freshest ingredients and classic techniques to create truly “Artisanal Cocktails”.

We had a table by the corner window and saw part of the sunset although some folks were in the way. The entrees were slow in coming out of the kitchen. I also ordered salmon and the mustard sauce overwhelmed its taste. What was disappointing is that this restaurant had some good reviews and might be the best around that... More

We had to wait with a bunch of other people to get in this place- it doesn't open til noon. We wouldn't have bothered but a golfing buddy of my wife highly recommended this restaurant. Our server bounced from table to table letting everyone know how wonderful their food selections were. Giggle. Snicker. We both ordered a different salmon entre,... More

We had a great lunch at River's end. Food was amazing and kind of creative, and service was wonderful. The restaurant sits on the end of the Russian River, so ask for a window table to enjoy the view.

My wife and I stopped here for an early dinner. Had great waiter who knew the area. Ceviche we had was great and Mexican Burger was the best. This place is a must visit restaurant. It is at the end of the Russian River. There is great Hiking In the beach parks. Over 100 sea lions were laying on a... More

We stayed at Rivers End Resort and had dinner here. The service was outstanding and the food was amazing.we started with the salmon chowder which was so good. I had the salmon which I usually don't like but this was an exception...it was the best I've ever had. My daughter had the duck which was presented beautifully and tasted great.... More

Awoke at sunrise on the east coast and hopped a flight to San Fran. After a long winding ride up the coast on the 1 we arrived at our destination. The River's End in Jenner, CA. For those who may not know, it's where the Russian River spills into the Pacific on the Sonoma coast. Dinner reservation for 7:30, sunset... More

While we sipped our wine and watched a spectacular sunset off the restaurant deck, our thoughts finally lingered to what to do for dinner. The restaurant was fully booked months ago - but 2 seats opened at the bar. Yea! The beat salad and salmon with farro and mustard sauce was excellent. However, I have to say it was the... More

Had a nice meal here - a really good vegetarian napolean. Funky place but lovely view of russian river going into the ocean. Would be fun on a stormy day.
