My husband and I came through Jamestown on our way to Lake Tahoe and stopped at Woods Creek Cafe. The waitresses and "bus boy" (we're thinking he's probably actually the owner) were so pleasant as soon as we entered. I had the Daily Blue Plate Lunch special: today was an egg salad club with sweet and spicy tator tots. It... More

This place was recommended by the front desk person at the Country Inn. We walked in and was told to sit any where we wanted that was opened. The server on duty was extremely polite and made us feel at home. The décor was a down home cow motif which was very funny. The food was fresh as if it... More

Given the limited options Sonora and the surrounding areas have for quality restaurants, I'd say Woodscreek is in the top 50% of places to try if you're stumbling through. What I liked: The collage of cow memoribilia may scare those with bovinophobia (Google it), but for a breakfast nook in a quaint, agriculture and rodeo invested area, I found the... More

Let me just say that this is the best breakfast I have ever had! My husband has tried the breakfast bread bowl and country fried steak which was so tender it fell apart. I love their cream cheese french toast and their country potatoes (which have a ton of flavor!). They walk around refilling water, tea and coffee constantly. I... More

I have never had a bad meal at this restaurant! It is a cute, down home country cafe. The only downside for this cafe is that they close at 2PM. I would love to have dinner here, but they don't offer it. Can't go wrong eating here.

This place has the best breakfast in the county. I can't name a single item on their menu I don't love. That being said, everyone in the county knows how awesome this place is, and unless you get there early, expect a wait. The staff is great and the cooks prompt. I've never had a single complaint. The cow motif... More

We stopped here for breakfast on our way out of town based on it's glowing reviews on Yelp. While the food seem very good and consistent it wasn't really anything I'd rave over. It was a nuisance that they didn't accept credit cards. We had a 15 minute wait when we got there, and the rocking horses for the kids... More

I love good biscuits and gravy, Woods Creek cafe did not disappoint. We had the breakfast sampler #1, yes, the biscuit and sausage gravy were excellent, but the pleasant surprise was the ranch potatoes, which also tasted great. They were perfectly cooked and seasoned, my wife does not usually like potatoes but she loved these. The service was great, my... More
