If you need a good rustic breakfast for a busy day, this is your place to go. But come early as the place can get crowded with locals and tourists alike. Our omelets were good in taste and in size. Service started a bit slow (too early?) but later got better. When you are not busy eating or drinking take... More

We have stopped here three times after visiting Columbia State Park. Took our grandkids and had a great experience. No cost for splitting plates for kids. Reasonable cost for kids pancakes. Excellent and I really mean excellent service every time we have been there. Good sized portions and homemade food. When they say bacon they really mean it. Not paper... More

We've been passing by Jamestown and decided to try some local food. The food was really good. For the prices under $10 per person, better say it was awesome! My wife had a fried liver with onions, my boys ate some club burgers and I had a signature steak burger. All four were served very fast and made impression to... More

Family style cafe serving breakfast and lunch. Good service, clean facility, large menu of excellent food and ample portions. Casual ambiance with a mix of local patrons and travelers. The decor is cows, a lot of cows. Oatmeal, pancakes and turkey sausage were a hit with our group. If you're not real hungry, be aware the prices for ala carte items... More

My husband and I came through Jamestown on our way to Lake Tahoe and stopped at Woods Creek Cafe. The waitresses and "bus boy" (we're thinking he's probably actually the owner) were so pleasant as soon as we entered. I had the Daily Blue Plate Lunch special: today was an egg salad club with sweet and spicy tator tots. It... More

This place was recommended by the front desk person at the Country Inn. We walked in and was told to sit any where we wanted that was opened. The server on duty was extremely polite and made us feel at home. The décor was a down home cow motif which was very funny. The food was fresh as if it... More

Given the limited options Sonora and the surrounding areas have for quality restaurants, I'd say Woodscreek is in the top 50% of places to try if you're stumbling through. What I liked: The collage of cow memoribilia may scare those with bovinophobia (Google it), but for a breakfast nook in a quaint, agriculture and rodeo invested area, I found the... More

Let me just say that this is the best breakfast I have ever had! My husband has tried the breakfast bread bowl and country fried steak which was so tender it fell apart. I love their cream cheese french toast and their country potatoes (which have a ton of flavor!). They walk around refilling water, tea and coffee constantly. I... More
