Two people at our hotel recommended this restaurant when I asked for the best place around. It was definitely upscale Mexican, in a delightful atmosphere. But don't go without reservations! People were signing up for a 2 1/2-hour wait while we were there. If conversation is important, ask for a table out on the patio. From chips to chicken, combo... More

The Irvine Spectrum restaurants are packed and fun during the summer. Javier's Cantina Grill is no exception. The bar is a great area to hang out after work or for meeting clients. The drinks are strong and chips/salsa are endless. The restaurant side however is less impressive. Outdoor seating is good and ambiance is nice. The food however is poor... More

which direction to go in with this place. I ate here twice over a week, so I guess it was good enough the first time to return for a second. With that said, the food just isn't all that great. I had the mahi mahi one night with the fundido, nothing special. Probably had my least favorite shrimp ceviche of... More

This is an upscale restaurant and the food was incredible! Would have rated 5 stars but $58 for a pitcher of margaritas is excessive and we didn't order high end tequila, just the house brand! Service was fantastic!

I first visited as part of a large corporate group, and liked it so much that I returned the following night! The choice and quality of food is good, and the atmosphere and service are great. It is always busy so I advise booking ahead, though the waiting system is handed very efficiently too.

Great food, a bit pricey but well worth it. Kids had a great meal. Margaritas were great! One of our favorite places to eat when we visit SoCal.

I first went to Javiers when the restaurant was in Laguna Beach. I thought everything about the place was awesome and I'm now a regular at the new restaurant at The Spectrum. If I'm in town and want Mexican food, Javier's is where I go. I've taken several relatives from out of town here and they always rave about the... More

Great selections of Mexican Food deliciously presented within an average decorated ambience ~ a little dark for us though. Wine seleccion are $10.00 to $16.00 and tequilas are top notch! From $10.00 to $50.00 a shot.

The Mango Margarita's were very good here. We had a business dinner there for three people and we all tasted each other's food. Everything I tasted was fresh, original in design and worked together. I had a mixture of a Shrimp Chile Relleno, a Lobster Taco and a Crab Burrito. All were excellent. The waiter was attentive and knew his... More

High end Mexican food is already an oxymoron but to top it off, we were incredibly disappointed with our recent experience at Javier's at the Irvine Spectrum and would encourage those of you dining with children to make reservations elsewhere! We had a group of 10 there to celebrate a birthday for a good military friend of ours that just... More
