My son and I came here having read many good reviews. We wanted to eat light and reasonably healthy. I am glad we did. We started with the shrimp taco appetizer right in to the main course of fish and chips. Both were very good. The home made tarter and tomato sauces were fresh and tasty. This restaurant is very... Not bad for what you pay, slather your fresh fish in garlic sauce or cajun style, the salmon salad is YUMMY!!! You can substitute your side for grilled zucchini

Since I live and work nearby, I have had lunches and dinners here dozens of times over the past several years. It's a favorite among my co-workers. In the realm of casual/quick dining, California Fish Grill tops my list in terms of good food and good value. For 10-12 bucks, the typical portion of fish that is served is worth... More

I was pleasantly surprised that a fast, not too expensive, place existed in Irvine that also had excellent food. I had the white fish served cajun style with cole slaw. I enjoyed it very musc so ordered the same dish the next time I was there. The food was consistently good.

Really enjoy this place, they have a lot to chose from and everything I have tried in the past has been good. Most seafood places are always overpriced or their food isn't the freshest, can't say I've experienced any of that with California Fish Grill. I prefer the salmon but the shrimp tacos are also hard to pass up. Would... More

Little money but you want fish? Then come here. When I want a good size meal that includes fish and little to spend I come here. This is actually a chain. I usually stay away from chains, but this place is an exception to the rule. I always get the grilled fish with garlic butter (I know I should not... More

I am a big fan of the CFG franchise and have visited almost all of the locations. I would say this is a great location with a lot of action and is close to other shops nearby. Love the Salmon as well.

Fun atmosphere with fast service and delicious seafood selections. We had the crab cakes and the fried pollack and both were scrumptuous. I especially enjoyed the coleslaw which had almonds and raisins tucked in with a delightful sauce.

Is this the best fish you've ever had? No, but it is right up there and it is relatively inexpensive and the service was quick and efficient. And...you get a ton of food for the cost. My wife and I both opted for the standard fish and chips (pollock) while I added some scallops. It was our first time here... More

Food is great with the vareity of grill fish available to you. They are flexible with substitutions. The portions are more than enough for one person. The price point is great for lunch cost. It's average of $10. This location is a very popular location and always packed during lunch time. If you are in a hurry, you might want... More
