Bistango is 3/4 restaurant and 1/4 art gallery. The menu is creative, the food is perfectly prepared, and the prix fixe menu is as close as you can get to a bargain. There are sculptures and paintings galore (for sale) throughout the restaurant. Very nice atmosphere. Right in the business/financial district of Irvine, and close to John Wayne airport. more

We dined here for my birthday last month and as always had an exceptional meal. The Ahi appetizer was the caliber one would expect from a high end sushi bar. Artful restaurant with New American cuisine in a hip atrium space that explodes with color from revolving modern art exhibits. Despite the budget-breaking bill, the classy lounge and nightly live jazz is perfect for that romantic date. Favorites include the Crab and Lobster Cake and the Surf N Turf Paella. $$$$ more
