Blackbird Coffee closed the end of July, 2014. Many people, especially the locals, loved it. We really were looking forward to going to the Blackbird, but we were too late! (August, 2014) Surely do hope they can find a way to reopen and stay alive until they can make a profit - should have been great, but maybe it was... More

My husband and I enjoyed hot coffee with delicious snacks here just a few days ago. The bakery items are very fresh and tasty- almond biscotti & apricot scone. It was the perfect stop before heading to the point Reyes lighthouse . Great local photography on the walls & musician strumming his guitar. Quaint!

Besides decent coffee and tea, Blackbird has some pastries and can put together minimal sandwiches. It has local photographers' work on the walls, a piano (ask before playing), a quiet, laid-back, local vibe that we enjoy. We've seen elders and kids there, but mostly 30-somethings, who are often writing on their laptops.

Not too many breakfast places in this part of Point Reyes. I am a tea drinker and this place fit the bill for me. Nice selection of loose tea, which they put in a glass french press for dining in. Some of the leaves have a tendency to get poured into your cup but that's ok. For take out they... More

Having expected to go to Priscilla's for coffee next door, to find a new establishment, Saltwater Oyster Bar, we found Blackbird Coffee. My husband and I had a latte and a huge, delicious ginger cookie, reasonably priced, nice location, pleasant atmosphere with gorgeous color photographs by Elizabeth Fenwick on the walls. A welcomed relief to find a place to go... More

Great coffee, tempting pastries, and I love that they have the Light newspaper for sale and Art Rogers photos on the walls. I hope to get by for the music some time in the future.
