Waitress/Hostess/Bartender was a MACHINE!

As the only restaurant open in the small town of Inverness on the evening of Valentine's Day, this little haunt sure its work cut out for it. The one woman who was waiting tables, hostessing, and bartending was on FIRE! Yes, we did wait a bit longer than usual, but it was amazing to watch her... read more

My husband and I had an hour of down time in Inverness recently with little to near dinner time. Vladimir's Restaurant was like walking into a film set (I've never been to the Czech Republic, so I cannot compare it to that): I literally felt I was in another country as I was seated in a red chair under a... The place was 2 walking minutes away from where I stayed. There was no waiting to be seated unlike the place next door. The food was served very quickly - I got rabbit. It was nice and tender. Oysters are also on the menu like in any other restaurant in the area - very fresh local oysters! They got full... More

Stopped here for lunch while visiting Point Reyes area. Ate outside as the weather was very nice. Tasty food & prompt, friendly service. I had beef goulash followed by freshly baked apple strudel. Portions are moderate but everything tasted good.

I had the roast duck with plum sauce, red cabbage, dumpling, potato salad, home made sour dough rye....with a glass of Urquell Pilsner...wonderful. Service friendly and relaxed. Pictures and posters on the wall were a nice touch...many paying homage to the owner, who was quite the horseman and skier.

I have been going to this Restaurant for years. Fantastic home cooked Czech food and wonderful atmosphere. We love the duck, kielbasa, chicken paprikash, soups, and home made bread. Great stop after a day spent at beautiful Point Reyes National Seashore. I really miss Vladimir, who passed away a couple of years back, but his daughter, Vladya, continues the family... More

We stopped for lunch, since my husband saw the menu, and just had to have some chicken paprikash. . . The portion sizes were just right for lunch, and we were not disappointed! I had the Schnitzel, he had the paprikash, and both came with hot bread, dumpling, red cabbage and potato salad. Food was very good, and service was... More

We stopped at this restaurant after a day spent hiking and were famished. It was between lunch and dinner, so we were able to order off either menu. A big plus since I could get a smaller lunch portion and my husband and son could get the larger dinner portion. The food was excellent and the service couldn't have been... More

This place is my new favorite restaurant - unfortunately, we live too far away to visit often but I found myself wishing they would open a branch in Orange County near my house!! The food was fantastic, both in appearance and flavor - the people were extremely friendly and helpful. Pricing was very simple - all lunches were $17 and... More

We stopped here simply because we were starved after hiking and driving for hours. That and we had never eaten Czechoslovakian. The waitress/bartender was very knowledgable and helpful. I enjoyed the cabbage roll, dumpling and potato salad. My favorite part was the purple cabbage. My husband had the fish and chips and was happy with both, and especially the Pilsner... More
