Overseas visitor to LA

I was in transit staying at one of the local hotels not far from the international terminal. I have stayed at the Wyndham by Wingate several times and remembered that Casa Gamino offers a delivery service. After checking the menu on line I phone in my order. It was delivered quickly. Nothing fancy but the food is awesome..... If you are after "authentic" food how your grandmother would have made it this is the place for you.... The cactus was to die for :)

Visited the restaurant for 2 reasons. Firstly its reviews on here and secondly because of it's proximity to the Great Western hotel next door I was staying in overnight. You walk through the bar to get to the restaurant, which is fine. Decor is cafe-like, but none the worse for that. I had a "wet burrito" which was large, delicious... More

The food was great. However, there were two guys near us that based on their loud conversation, it was evident one was a mentor for the other. Both were punctuating the conversation with f-bombs nearly every other word. I didn't want to start anything, but wished the manager would have asked them to tone it down. There is no way... More

We have eaten at the Casa Gamino restaurant on the last two trips through LAX. The food is excellent, the staff are most attentive and helpful and the menu is varied. Friends have eaten there at our suggestion and have been most pleased with the experience. Close to several overnight stop hotels this restaurant offers good food at a reasonable... More

The BEST WESTERN Shuttle driver recommended this restaurant since it was a nice easy walk from the hotel, otherwise he said he could take us to Denny's. We could go to a Denny's anytime in any city, so we decided to make the short walk over to enjoy some local Mexican fare....glad we did! When we first walked in and... More

An out of town friend was in between flights at LAX and hoped that we could get together. We searched for restaurants nearby that were not the super high-end steak houses that are so popular near there. We came upon Casa Gamino and were impressed by it's longevity as well as good reviews. Who wouldn't want a good Mexican meal... More

My wife and I spent the night in the Comfort Inn across the street. They suggested Casablanca Gamino' s and I'm so glad we tried it. Don't be afraid of the exterior. The food and staff were awesome. The inside is also much better than the outside. Would definitely recommend this to anyone

Absolutely delicious Mexican food in large quantities for an excellent price! Family atmosphere, fast and friendly service. Within easy walking distance of four hotels (Motel 6, Best Western Suites, La Quinta, Wingate by Wyndham). The lunch specials are excellent and cost only $7.25. In my four days in LA I ate here three times for lunch, having the fish tacos,... More
