If I like the taco salad, I like the restaurant. This one was very good. My husband had fajitas that he liked very much. We were there for a late lunch so it wasn't busy and service was good. The staff was friendly. We will go there again when we are in the area.

Yes, it's hard to find (and to make matters worse, the sign on the building is almost impossible to see at night). But worth the trip. There are lots of Mexican restaurants in the valley, but I would highly recommend this one. It feels like a family run restaurant, with all of the friendliness and quirks that go with that.... More

As others have said not easy to find!! Big open restaurant with lots of choice on the menu and some hilarious spelling mistakes. Service was friendly if a bit confused, three people tried to take our drink orders and then it took a long time to get the bill. My wife had a chicken dish (can't remember the name!) and... More

This place was close to our hotel and after reading the other TA reviews decide to try it. As other reviewers said it looks like an old Denny's or Bob Big Boy. However inside is very inviting with lots of booths and tables. Each table has a stained glass lamp over it. The outside landscaping area was raked perfectly for... More

Looks more like a Denny's or Big Boy on the outside, but clean, friendly and wonderful food on the inside--margaritas are a must-try too.

We've visited El Campanario many times. It's on our personal "favorites" list whenever we visit the desert. The food is always excellent and the service very attentive. I'm no expert on Mexican cuisine but the fact that there are always many groups of Latino people, mostly families, speaks volumes to me. Personally, I love the food. I can't recommend it... More

After a hard day of hiking around the Salton Sea all we could think of was hearty food. This place was right next to our hotel, so we hopped over for a bite. We were pleasantly surprised by our coin-flip and found the staff, environment and food to be really good. Our waitress was sweet and a delight to talk... More

I don't know Mexican food very well, but this was a comfortable, friendly place with tasty food that sounds like the most popular upscale Mexican place in town. I was overall happy with everything and give solid fours for score! Allowing for other places to be better, but I honestly can't imagine how. A solid restaurant that as far as... More
