Pueblo Viejo is our "go to" Mexican restaurant in the Mexican Restaurant heavy south Coachella Valley region. When our kids and grandkids come to town, they insist on two trips to Pueblo Viejo. The food is great, atmosphere wonderful and service good. This small restaurant is always spotless. Make sure and get there early as Pueblo Viejo is always full.

Based on fellow Trip Advisors comments, we tried this restaurant last night. Couldn't have picked a better restaurant and besides this it was Monday night and their house margaritas were on special. The combination meals we had were delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to all. It is small but worth the wait or snag a seat at the bar... More

This little gem deserves all of the great reviews it has received. The food was delicious, fresh, plentiful, etc. The skinny margarita made with fresh lime, agave nectar and tequila was fantastic! The service was top notch all the way - friendly, attentive, and accommodating. We would definitely return here and highly recommend it.

Pueblo Viejo is a jewel. They now have three locations! A Latina friend of ours claims the refried beans are like her mom used to make. Every dish comes to you fresh, served by friendly wait staff.

First time to visit this great place. From the simple, satisfying Guacomole to to the tamales, what a great meal! The service was helpful and attentive. The prices reasonable. We will be back. I can easily see this place being a regular landing spot.

This little restaurant offers a great menu and wonderful Mexican dishes. I had a burrito and it was one of the best ever. Everyone else felt the same way about their meal. If you like Mexican, this is it!

Always a smart choice. Fresh, hot and good! Just to bad they do not take reso'. Never had a bad meal there, always looking forward to going back.

Found this restaurant as we wanted something close to where we were staying and we're not disappointed. It's been around for some time and has a great reputation. The entry way is small but they allowed us to get drinks and sit outside while we waited. Once in, the menu is extensive and delicious. Loved the chicken with pineapple fajitas... More

We have been here over a dozen times and the food is consistently great with very friendly servers. I have tried all the other excellent rated Mexican restaurants around Palm Springs and this place beats them hands down! I am usually a very critical reviewer, but have never been disappointed here. The only slight drawback, they only take reservations for... More

On TA write ups and "locals" recommendation we decided to try this small but pleasantly decorated restaurant for lunch. The beans are terrific as were the crispy tacos and the tamales were full of meat with very little cornmeal. The green and red sauces were perfectly balanced. Only disappointment was the cheese enchilada. While the sauce was good the inside... More
