I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. The food is delicious, servings are huge and prices are reasonable.

We are locals and enjoy this Restaraunt, good service polite wait staff, and always good food. try the table side guacamole and their chile rellenos tasty. Stuffed and fried chiles also very good appetizer. On weekends there is a gentleman who plays harp. Enjoyable.

My wife and I ate at El Mexicali Cafe II last night for our first and last time. We were driving by and saw a number of people walking in, so we decided to try it. We are new to the area and figured that we should start to experience the different restaurants in the neighborhood. I looked at their... More

We were traveling on I-10 and needed to stop for lunch but didn't want the usual chain restaurants so we found the Mexicali Cafe II and were pleased with the food there. I had the chile relleno (unlike another reviewer, I found it quite good, and I am familiar with chile rellenos). My companion had the peppers stuffed with shrimp... More

Worst Chile Relleno EVER! Undercooked and full of seeds. Food took forever, then when came, plate was barely warm. Third time there. Went from good to bad to worse. Waitress offered 10% discount, which was approx $3.00, c'mon. Definitely will not be going back and will not recommend

This is just what it says it is a Mexican cafe. It is located in a strip mall near the 10. The food is good. I had the shrimp stuffed peppers for lunch and returned a couple days later for the breakfast which was just okay. This is a good spot for lunch if you are in the area.

Stopped in for lunch and had an average meal. Salsa was spicy and didn't agree with me. The burritos were just OK and did not come with a whole lot of extras and did not come with whole beans but refried like most restaurants so nothing special. Wine was good however. Service was Excellent. The place was clean and large... More

Chips and quite spicy salsa. Dennis had 2 enchiladas (shredded beef) + beans & rice. Pam had 1 shredded beef taco and one chicken enchilada. Beef was excellent and very flavorful; chicken was just chicken; beans were almost white in color, but very tasty.

Service is attentive and friendly. The food is fresh and delicious. Try the pepper stuffed with shrimp. It is served over a bed of salad. The margaritas are strong and delicious.
