No Complaints....just enjoyed it all!

My husband & I ate here on a busy Saturday night. The patio looked lovely and had heaters but it was a bit chilly so we dined inside. Even though it was crowded we had good service. We ate here on recommendation from a friend. It was 3:00 on a Friday afternoon (happy hour). We wanted dinner, but the waiter only gave us a happy hour menu. The bus boy gave us real menus. The margaritas were good. The food adequate. The waiter horrible. I gave the bus boy a tip for himself.

We got there about 5PM just in time for Happy Hour (restricted to Patio and Bar) so it was pretty crowded but we were seated immediately at an indoor table. The Margaritas were very good (per my wife and friends). I opted for a beer. The food was served promptly, was piping hot and tasted great. We will surely return... More

I asked the waiter which of two pork dishes he would recommend and without hesitation he said the chochinita pibil. I was very glad I asked, because the meat was very tender and flavorful. My husband was delighted with his beef fajitas, perfectly cooked and full of taste. Do try this place if you would like a good Mexican meal.

Great food, generous portions but beware if sitting outside for the happy hour as there are tons of flies around

Stopped by after the tennis tournament with friends for margaritas. Dinner was ok, better than some other places.salsa very mild, chips ok, beans and rice the same. Cochinita pibil and carnitas very good as well as the Chile relleno. The was taco was soggy not crisp. The strolling guitarist was a nice treat. He plays for tips but doesn't sing... More

Aside from a nice facility and good margaritas, there is not much to recommend Don Diego's. This is a high volume operation, which may contribute to their lack of attention to food quality. It's hard to make Mexican food close to tasteless, but they have managed to do just that. Go for the pleasant surroundings and Margaritas, but eat somewhere... More

This restaurant was an easy walk from where we were staying so we decided to try it. Food was average Mexican but good margs. Service was just average.

we found Don Diego's driving by and stopped for a Mexican lunch. The salsa was great. And then the three corn street tacos came. Three mini tacos with corn and spices. Delicious. So the next time in Palm Desert we returns and had them again. They go great with Negro Modelo beer. They were busy at 2 pm but plenty... More

Good menu and nice atmosphere with the outdoor seating and patio fountain. Staff is great, and food is all good. Have had breakfast and dinner there and everyone loved their choices. I especially loved the ribs!
