Came in for coffee and stayed for breakfast! Just delicious. And such a wonderful ambience - rustic but comfortable and inviting. VERY BUSY! Always a good sign! Would recommend!
Cafe Aroma was my favorite place to eat in the three days I spent in Idyllwild. The food is consistently good, and the vibe is outstanding. Music most nights, and what feels like regulars there making it feel both special and like home. The staff was friendly and helpful, and it was a fun place to hang out -- art... More
We ate at three places in Idyllwild, and this was our favorite. Amazing atmosphere and food. We loved the exterior (so cute) and enjoyed sitting by the fireplace while eating breakfast. We got there at 8am and it wasn't hopping yet, but other times we passed by it was crazy busy. And I can see why. The food was great.... More
I never imagined I would find a cafe that is more a bistro or restaurant than a cafe where the ambience, quality of food, inspiration for preparing such a wide variety could get any better well it just doesn't. During the last time I was staying in Idyllwild for a few days I just chose to eat my breakfast, lunch... More
Very pleasant ambience with excellent food and full bar. One of the top two dining choices in the area. Menu varies, nice specials. Fresh local ingredients as much as possible The owner take great pride in this establishment. Reservations recommended.
Atmosphere was fantastic, very cozy and relaxed, made even more enjoyable by the live jazz music that was on over dinner. Service was unhurried but didnt feel slow, letting us enjoy the evening and the music without being made to feel rushed. Food was excellent Italian themed fare, the osso bucco being especially good. Selection of beers was also noteworthy.... More

This seemed like a small, sleepy town. Who would expect a great restaurant, with fresh produce and daily specials. We set in the patio, lucky to get the last table without a wait. The service was very attentive. The food (portions, price) great. During our visit, four different people had recommended it. We can see why.
We were excited to have our first dinner at Café Aroma. There was a line out the door...it must be great! We were ushered in and ordered a garlic bisque and caesar salad. The bisque was flavorful but the salad dressing was more like a thin balsamic without any egg-anchovy-lemon-garlic depth of flavor. The entrees were good though the chipotle... More
