My husband and I are by no means picky eaters. We stopped in for a bite while in the area for the weekend and were horribly disappointed. The service was ridiculously slow and the food was horrible in addition to being overpriced. The chili was more like soup and rather tasteless. The pastrami was greasy and tough. Definitely not worth... More

If you want to venture a few blocks away from the tourist eateries, go here. They have the best hand made onion rings. Everything including the dressings and dips are made fresh. A notty pine funky bar, a blast from the past decor with really good food that will leave you saying. Wow, that was great. The owner is wonderful... More

First time I visited this charming restaurant, I had the a small burger and fresh onion rings that were very tasty and a great price. The second time I visited, I had the onion soup with Mary's French Dip sandwich, excellent food, price and service. I sat outside in the back patio, which provided music. The singer was very talented... More

We had just left Idyllwild after an afternoon of exploring all the great little shops in town, and headed out of town about half a mile. Pondering which door to enter when the owner came out to assist and let us in through the kitchen. How many restaurants would want their customers in their kitchens?? I glanced as we proceeded... Had a late lunch upon arrival in town. The menu offered a small 6 oz steak that was just perfect, sides were good. Peach crisp was mostly cinnamon! Pleasant, cozy, mountain town place.

Fun country roadside burger joint right on the main road just south of town. Nice selection of big freshly ground burgers. The burgers beat the heck out of any fast food place, even In-N-Out, but I guess that should be obvious. Friendly wait staff and the dessert chef even came out to see how we liked her dessert. Don't know... More

In response to the establisments PR persons comments, I certainly know the difference between a fuzzy sweater and one full of cat hair, also, mountain dust has nothing to do with greasy chairs! And proud as yoh may be of "Blondies" deserts, NO means NO! One last comment....you made refernce to my "negative comments" of Idyllwild restaurants, this may be... More

Great little venue just before entering main Idyllwild circle .... clean, neat, good service....BUT ..... food (at least the well advertised burger) ..... was let's say --- LESS. Nice outdoor seating, live music, great service .... but, burger was ....let's say..... still moving / rare (though, we were not asked about desired cooking); bun soaky, no taste, etc, etc, etc.... This is one of our favorite places to stop for lunch. The service is great and the food even better. They make almost everything from scratch right at the restaurant. From the hamburgers to the pulled pork sandwiches, it's great food. Highly recommend this restaurant to friends. It was our 2nd time here in 2 years and the quality of... More
