This is in the center of town and always has the most out of town people. It has been a while sense we have gone to eat here but all the times we have been the food has been sub-par. Of all the restaurants on the hill this is not the best but the most busy due to location. The... More

After a long drive from Los Angeles to Idyllwild, on a rainy night, we arrived hungry and not inclined to cook a meal in our cabin. As usual in this little town on Saturday after 9:00 PM, the streets were deserted. Jo'An’s was still open, and we decided to stop in for a bite. We weren’t expecting much – maybe... More

Jo,an,s is under new management and their does not seem to be much change ! The food is as expected for ,a local hang out ! They offer a special breakfast for locals at $3.99 and an outdoor BBQ on the weekend that draws a crowed ,especially the motorcycle groups of the professional type and not the 1% ers .

I had an excellent well-priced meal and enjoyed a one-man band entertainer with an awesome voice. The bartender was a hoot and enjoyed her job and the customers. She had everyone talking.

Horrible food, run down. It has a sign, that it under a new management. Well it needs everything new. The meat we got was burned. The desert was terrible. We needed to leave and take the family elsewhere.

Our first time in Idyllwild, and since there are several restaurant around we decided to try this one. It was busy when we arrived. Staff were pleasant and friendly. I got club sandwich and my husband got a Hawaiian BBQ burger. The food took a little bit longer than usual, our French fries were really good, but the rest were... More

Back to Jo'An's, this time with an exchange student from the Czech Republic. She wanted barbecue, so this was the place. BBQ is available only im der biergarten, with a totally different menu than what they have inside. And the `Q menu has only ribs, chicken, bratwurst, cheeseburger or a foot-long hot dog. Take your pick. Anna prefers chicken, so... More

We both had the tuna melt and it was one of the better ones we have had. My companion had a Cadillac margarita made to her specifics and the bartender followed directions to the T. I will definitely go back when I am in Idyllwild again.

It was my first restaurant meal in Idyllwild. I went at lunch time and ordered a pastrami sandwich with fries and paid $10.75 with tax. The food was OK, not great. The service was, likewise, OK, not great. I will most likely eat somewhere else next time I am in Idyllwild.

We were welcomed warmly when we arrived and it was a very slow part of the evening. They were full staffed but we were kind of ignored. Once our waitress did pay us any attention, she announced that they had an 'All you can eat Fish and Chips Dinner'. I quickly ordered that! My Husband ordered the largest cut of... More
