Nice 50's Style Diner

This was a regional chain which I hadn’t visited yet, and I’d looked up the menu online to get an idea of what was available. I planned to have standard diner fare, but with a fun twist. Because this particular location was at the end of the Huntington Beach Pier, I had to park in the public lot... read more

There is usually a wait.sometime you can wait up against the pier end and watch the surfing;Or,the fishermen pier fishing. That's interesting. There are shops to buy souvenirs too if you are from out of town. The food is good Burgers, fries, salads and root beer floats and the shakes are great. There is food at the "to go window"... More

It's like having lunch in the middle of the ocean. You literally sit in the restaurant and look out at the ocean. On a good day you might even see dolphin from were you are sitting. The food is good, shakes are great, service is fast, staff very warm and friendly. Good place for everyone!

Placed at the end of the Huntington Beach Pier, Ruby's Dinner is a great way to see the Beaches of Huntington Beach. Be prepared for a wait, as this is a local and tourist hot spot. It is a nice stroll up the pier to the end and then put your name in and wait. The food is good and... More

Located at the far end of the Huntington Beach Pier, this 50s-style diner is worth visiting for the views alone. The place is very bright and friendly, very clean and the staff we interacted with were all very friendly and attentive, as well as efficient. The food we had was good, not outstanding, but great for a casual snack. The... More

If you are visiting HB and want a kitschy experience of dining on the pier in a 50's style diner, this is the place for you. If you live in HB, Ruby's has lost the edge it once had. It used to be a place where the food and service was as fun as the location, but on our last... More

Breakfast at the end of the pier, it does not get better than that. Getting a window seat can be challenging at times. the food is okay. we keep coming back for the view.

We enjoyed rubys! I imagine the wait times can get long since we went at 2:30 thinking we would get around the lunch crowd but were still given a an estimated 45 minute wait time . We actually only waited 25 minutes. If you get lucky like we did you will get seated upstairs in a booth which gives you... More

The location is awesome for the views and a fun family spot. Food was hot and "fresh", so it was excellent for what it was, but it's diner food, and I'd prefer something a bit more healthy. Plus the wait for the food was pretty substantial. We had pretty much long since filled up on our shakes (yes, I cheated... More

I hesitate to recommend this restaurant, because it is one of my favorites, and don't want to make more popular. The location is fantastic and the 1/4 mile walk to it is very pleasant. Management has always been customer focussed.
