This is the best spot to grab breakfast downtown by far. Food and service are always consistently good.

The shack is a tradition , an experience and a seriously important part of the Surf City scene. First i have bee coming here since 1973 when we first moved here. I and Michelle went to the same High School FVHS and her sis lives just a few doors down from me so i may be biased. When i was... More

When you are in Huntington Beach downtown - perhaps on a weekend - and as you pass Sugar Shack, you'll see a group of men at a table who are called "The Good Ole Boys". They've eaten breakfast at Sugar Shack every Saturday morning 'forever'. They're as much a mainstay here as our infamous Pier. Yes, there is always a... More

If you want greasy hang over food for cheap, this is where the locals will be. Also people who lived here forever ago have that nostalgic moment when they stop in. Weekends have lines to get a spot on the front and back patio but worth it. Very cheap! Great food but you would have to go next door for... More

I have lived in HB for over 20 years and Sugar Shack always has will be so crowded and the wait on weekends is FOREVER! So you would imagine this place to be some extraordinary foodie find right? WRONG ! The food is nothing special, other than the typical grub that has no extra care in preparation or tastes. Coffee... More

We visited the Sugar Shack based on it's rating here on TA. The food was good. We had your basic egg dishes. The Keppler was very good. However, the wait is very long to get a table. You have to write your name down on a clipboard out front and when they get to you, you are seated. What they... More

Great place for breakfast. Be in time, gets busy very fast. Best places are on the terrace streetside. Service is good, fast and delicious food! We ate there three days in a row, while staying in Huntington

Love riding our bukes to Sugar Shack. Advice: Don't worry about 'sitting out front'. Sit on back patio or inside and enjoy all the conversation. Make sure you lock your bike!
