The fresh hot chips and salsa are our FAVORITE item at Fred's!! The grilled chicken and fish tacos are a close second! Fun atmosphere, right in the middle of all the fun of downtown Huntington Beach. Close to Huntington Beach Pier with lots of fun nightlife. Great people watching too! ;) The only caveat is they charge you extra (a... More

Went here because we love the Maui location! Had very bad server! She got our orders wrong and served all but one at our table who she completely forgot about until all the others had finished their meals. She finally brought the late order out (which was also wrong) without any apology or anything. It was lunch time and a... More

This place is a mess! I sat at the bar and there was food splatter on the tv! I watched the bartender blend a returned drink. He fished the lemon out of the blender with his bare hand and reserved the drink! Total health hazard here! Don't go!

This is a great place for good drink, Mexican food and lively atmosphere. Ask for a table outside. The hostesses all look like models and are very nice, service quick and just a fun place to visit.

We had drinks and appetizers at Fred's and thoroughly enjoyed the food and sites. The service at the bar was fantastic and we enjoyed both views and great food and views. If you want to stop at a California beach to eat and drink, stop here.

Fred's is located right across the street from the beach. There restaurant is on the second floor of the building with spectacular views of the ocean. But that's not all they offer, the food is amazing. I recommend the grilled Mahi Mahi tacos. They are the best fish tacos I have ever had. They went perfect with one of the giant... More

Fred's was surprising crowded for the late lunch / early dinner time slot when we visited, but no so crowded that we had to wait to get seated. The beer was great, and so was the food! Given the time of day,, and it seemed like plenty of staff buzzing around, I would have given them five stars, but the... More

This place was a lunch choice while on vacation. The fajitas was amazing! Beer was cold, prices were decent and the 1lb burritos were monsterous. Had planned to go back but ran out of time. GReat place to eat!

The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor. If you want an ocean view sit outside. The food is resonably priced and delicious. I had the fish tacos which were excellent and sat outside to enjoy the view.

We were initially put off when the 30 minute wait became an hour - which we only found out after asking. We then got drinks at the bar & stood. A nice waitress asked if we wanted food & then had a couple shift over to fit the 5 of us on a long table. She was awesome (wish I... More
