About a week ago it was my husband and mine 25th Wedding Anniversary, and we were in Southern California for a wedding with a lot of family. Zimzala opened up their outside patio for us and about 30 people for a last minute celebration. there was a miscommunication, and they thought we were coming at 6, but we thought our... More

The service was very good, I was able to take my dog to the patio, the food was good and the guests were fun to talk to. Nice environment.

When I checked into the Shorebreak, the front desk clerk did nothing but rave about the quality of the food at their in-house restaurant. What a over statement on her part; this restaurant served food that was pretty bland, but for twice the price you would pay at a chain restaurant. The meat was overcooked, dry and just above room... Celebrating Father's Day on the patio, gazing out at the beautiful shore break, while enjoying a delicious meal, could not have been better. The service was friendly, helpful and laid back. The menu was surprisingly imaginative, while the food was tasty and visually exciting. ? our favorite four-legged friends were happily accommodated and even had their own menu choices. Definitely... We enjoyed our glasses of sauvignon blanc here. But the food was average, the music was loud and not to our taste, the service was lackadaisical. Just average, nothing more.

Ordered the Scottish salmon. It was an amazing medley of flavors! I don't know what some of it was-but it doesn't matter....whoever cooked it knew what they were doing. Hubby had Mac n cheese and Manila clams off the appetizer menu. Both were fantastic! Large portions and great flavors. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was it was a... More

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to have cocktails and appetizers at Zimzala, then breakfast the next morning (hooray for staying upstairs!). First and foremost, you simply can't beat the location. Zimzala is in the Shorebreak Hotel, which is right across from the pier and right along a road with tons of great shops and bars. For somebody who isn't... More

Too hot at our non-airconditioned house so we came here. Got great last minute deal. Parking very expensive.

So again, I'm a local and our friends love hanging out here. It's a different kind of vibe than what you would find on Main Street, very chill - very similar to San Francisco, if that makes any sense to you. We've been coming here since it first opened. And there's been a few changes (positive ones). First and foremost,... More
