I went there with my boyfriend for Valentine's day and even though we had reservations we still had to wait for a very long time outside. The atmosphere is cute; however, the tables are so close to one another I felt as if I was on a triple date with the couples next to us. The food was EXTREMELY over... more

Being Italian myself, finding delicious authentic Italian food in California is surprisingly NOT easy. It is especially difficult in the South Bay. With its chocolate brown and white interior, flowing white gauze curtains, and old school candle lit tables, this setting is perfect for a romantic dinner. But if you're flying solo and like eye candy, the gorgeous Italian waiters... more

I have eaten at La Sosta at least 20 times and it is an extraordinary restaurant. The wine list is impeccable as is the tirimisu. The langostine with garlic, olive oil and parsley is mind boggling and the pappardelle with duck ragu stunning. Start with the meat and cheese board served with great bread, olive oil and often truffle relish... more

We dined at La Sosta for the first time a couple of months ago. It was one of the worst dining experiences in the South Bay in many years. I ordered the Langoustines that were not fresh. As dessert I tried the Tiramisu that was rancid I will never go back despite some good reviews on Chowhound more

Amazing, authentic little northern Italian spot with stylish ambiance. You're transported to Amalfi coast. Get the cutting board, lobster gnocchi and if they have it, the braised pork shoulder. Outstanding as an intimate special occasion place. It's very small, so book in advance. By far, one of the best dining experiences to be found in not just the South Bay,... more

How can such good food result in such a disappointing experience at a restaurant? In one word: chaos. In two words: Expensive chaos. There seems to be a very talented chef in the back but the dining room is busy, noisy, chatoic and uncomfortable. The staff seem in total fear of the owner and fumble all the time. The prices... more

My boyfriend and I absolutely love La Sosta. The ambience is wonderful and the food is even better. We always enjoy the cheese and meat platter, and any of the dishes are great! Take your time when you visit La Sosta and don't rush the experience...it's better to dine slowly at this place because you won't want to leave! more

Amori is now La Sosta. We thought the food and service were just terrific. The gnocchi with lobster and the risotto were just mouth watering and jumping off the plate with freshness. The candle lit setting is very welcoming and romantic. The wines by the glass or bottle were just great. A hidden gem. more
