I would give it five stars if the portions were just a little larger

We love to go to la Sosta but have a hard time giving it five stars as our friends often leave hungry. The cutting board with mushrooms and extra truffle honey is to die for. The pasta portions if just a little bigger would not cut into profits much and would not destroy their high end image... read more

Things are nice. I didn't go unaware this time -- so the menu sticker shock didn't get to me. It is a much more comfortable place, the food is still delicious and the staff is awesome. Plus: the seared carpaccio and mediterranean salad are delicious. The gnocchi like a bed of a cloud in gorgonzola cream. But $28 for a... More

I have wanted to go to this out of the way place for several years. I finally did and now know why no one has said, you have to try this place. The food is excellent -- but the prices are higher then most Beverly Hills restaurants with appetizers prized between $25 and $30 and entrees close to $60. Rather... More

I've been to La Sosta several times, but my last visit pushed me over the edge because I feel that the prices are outrageous. I was treated to dinner and embarrassed that our hosts had to pay such an outrageous bill. We had an excellent server who guided our selections and paced the multiple courses very well. The four of... More

They say the third time is the charm but I'll never know if that's true. This was my second visit to La Sosta. I would love to love it. Great building, nice interior, cute waiters, chic menu. Sadly, for the second time, I don't. Horrendously overpriced considering both creativity and execution. $40 for a cup of langoustine gnocchi that was... More

My wife and I had two small plates of pasta- hers was dry (sea urchin) and undercooked, mine was flavorful (house special) and overcooked. Two glasses of white wine and the tab came to $100. Were the dishes better executed and larger, they might have been worth it. We just wanted a very light meal, had heard good things about... More

This is a wonderful, intimate, romantic little Italian place in Hermosa; it's our go-to for a special night out. It's a bit on the pricey side ($30/dish) but the incredible Italian authenticity of the food makes it worthwhile. This is the best pasta I've had outside of Venice.

I'm from Venice and I went to this restaurant recomended by friends and I felt like home, Luca suggested me an appetizer with mushrooms and it was super delicious, and after I had Bigoli in Salas which is a typical venetian pasta dish with onions and he did better than in Venice, Luca suggested me to drink with the pasta... Let me start by saying that we are regulars here. It's the best quality food south of Santa Monica. The staff is warm and friendly and treat you like family. The ambiance is quaint but perfect for a romantic date or group of friends. The cutting board is a must have. I always order for 2 less people than we... More

I had my 30th B-Day dinner here on March 6th. I thought this might have been one of those small restaurant unique finds. I was very much wrong and was hating every minute of it. My wife looked at the expression on my face, and she said I looked like I wanted to get out of there as soon as... More
