Wanted to try something different. Great little restaurant with very nice staff. Nice menu selection with reasonable prices. I can recommend the frog legs to start and then the Blackened Cajun Catfish.

We started with the flash fried oysters and the crabcakes for appetizers. We split a full order of the gumbo which was huge and delicious. Finished with the bread pudding split 4 ways. Food was all delicious, prices reasonable and free corkage. The next table had a large rack of ribs that I want to try. We'll be back soon.

Had a wonderful meal here, shrimp stuffed chicken with a shrimp sauce and spicey gumbo for my huband. The service was good and Queenie came over to say hello. She was amazed at how much food we ate, no boxing up for us it was that good

Having lived in New Orleans when I see a restaurant that say "New Orleans Food" in LA it's NEVER GOOD! But this time OMG the food, atmosphere, ambiance, & staff are soooo New Orleans. It's like walking into Big Mamas house for Sunday dinner any day of the week to the point where when you're finished eating you have the... More

Amazing Blackened Chicken Po-Boy! Make sure to get is fully dressed with a side of honey covered sweet potato fries! Sandy is the owner and prepares all the meals herself, she's great! You'll most likely be served by Chase who is just as cool and will recommend a great dish for you. The gumbo is also fantastic but the Blacked... More

What a cozy, cool little Cajun cafe tucked away on Pier Avenue in Hermosa Beach! I love the ambiance, lighting and art. The waiter (friend of the owner) is such a genuinely nice mid-westerner (from Chicago). We had gumbo, hush puppies and Cajun blackened chicken. Yummm!! A nice kick to it! And I have to say, the lemon ginger hot... More

Overall an excellent taste of the south. The portions are large and you will have plenty to take home. The wait time for seating and service may take some time but DO NOT take that as a bad, it's a small very homely feel and your food is served made to order piping hot!!

This is hands down the best New Orleans creole style restaurant on the West coast when it comes to étouffée & gumbo dishes & the peach cobbler is deliciousness on steroids. Trust me because I'm a native of Mississippi, but now live in Southern California. The food is New Orleans authentic & the owner is from Kenner, Louisiana; she knows... More

We were in the area, and on recommendation from a local friend, we decided to try New Orleans Cajun & Creole Cuisine for lunch with our 12 & 14 year old kids who have never had cajon or creole food. We arrived at around noon to an empty, small restaurant. The menu looked good, although seemed a bit pricy for... More

My son who currenly lives in New Orleans took my best friend and myself for an early Mother's Day lunch. The food is excellent and plentiful. You can choose to have the food blackened at different spice levels. I had the blackened chicken extra spicy and my son had the catfish spicy . We also had the red beans and... More
