This is hands down the best New Orleans creole style restaurant on the West coast when it comes to étouffée & gumbo dishes & the peach cobbler is deliciousness on steroids. Trust me because I'm a native of Mississippi, but now live in Southern California. The food is New Orleans authentic & the owner is from Kenner, Louisiana; she knows... More

We were in the area, and on recommendation from a local friend, we decided to try New Orleans Cajun & Creole Cuisine for lunch with our 12 & 14 year old kids who have never had cajon or creole food. We arrived at around noon to an empty, small restaurant. The menu looked good, although seemed a bit pricy for... More

My son who currenly lives in New Orleans took my best friend and myself for an early Mother's Day lunch. The food is excellent and plentiful. You can choose to have the food blackened at different spice levels. I had the blackened chicken extra spicy and my son had the catfish spicy . We also had the red beans and... More

We were really excited to stumble on this place in Hermosa. Unfortunately, we hit it on a slammed night and not much went very smoothly. We were at a back table, and due to the understaffed night, everything went very very slowly. From reading other reviews, based on our food choices, and the overall apologetic nature of the staff, we... More

Fantastic food! Real La.- style cooking . It is like a shotgun house, long and narrow, but inside is great food and fun times. One table looks out over the Pacific, so keep your fingers crossed. The seafood platter is out of this World. It is a little pricey, but it easliy feeds two hungry adults. After you enjoy this... More

Great jambalaya and gumbo. The ladies who own the place are very friendly and fun people. It's a little pricey, but you get huge portions and they don't skimp on the ingredients. The jambalaya must have a pound of shrimp in it!

The restaurant has a friendly and warm atmosphere. It's a long and narrow restaurant with plenty of seating at a counter that overlooks the kitchen. The owner and her daughter are almost always there cooking orders as they come in. It truly has a very homemade feel. The food is very consistent and very good. The fried chicken is particularly... Located near the Hermosa Beach Pier the New Orleans Cajun & Creole offers a variety of fish and meat dishes including alligator specialities. They have a remarkable choice of hot and spicy sauces with the highest degree of "hot - comatose level". I went there with friends from Germany for introducing them to Cajun dining. They were surprised o by... More

Yes! Coolest people ever work here, they import their ingredients from New Orleans directly. AND if you are nice to them they let you dance on your chairs.
