Amazing Blackened Chicken Po-Boy! Make sure to get is fully dressed with a side of honey covered sweet potato fries! Sandy is the owner and prepares all the meals herself, she's great! You'll most likely be served by Chase who is just as cool and will recommend a great dish for you. The gumbo is also fantastic but the Blacked... More

What a cozy, cool little Cajun cafe tucked away on Pier Avenue in Hermosa Beach! I love the ambiance, lighting and art. The waiter (friend of the owner) is such a genuinely nice mid-westerner (from Chicago). We had gumbo, hush puppies and Cajun blackened chicken. Yummm!! A nice kick to it! And I have to say, the lemon ginger hot... More

Overall an excellent taste of the south. The portions are large and you will have plenty to take home. The wait time for seating and service may take some time but DO NOT take that as a bad, it's a small very homely feel and your food is served made to order piping hot!!

This is hands down the best New Orleans creole style restaurant on the West coast when it comes to étouffée & gumbo dishes & the peach cobbler is deliciousness on steroids. Trust me because I'm a native of Mississippi, but now live in Southern California. The food is New Orleans authentic & the owner is from Kenner, Louisiana; she knows... More

We were in the area, and on recommendation from a local friend, we decided to try New Orleans Cajun & Creole Cuisine for lunch with our 12 & 14 year old kids who have never had cajon or creole food. We arrived at around noon to an empty, small restaurant. The menu looked good, although seemed a bit pricy for... More

My son who currenly lives in New Orleans took my best friend and myself for an early Mother's Day lunch. The food is excellent and plentiful. You can choose to have the food blackened at different spice levels. I had the blackened chicken extra spicy and my son had the catfish spicy . We also had the red beans and... More

We were really excited to stumble on this place in Hermosa. Unfortunately, we hit it on a slammed night and not much went very smoothly. We were at a back table, and due to the understaffed night, everything went very very slowly. From reading other reviews, based on our food choices, and the overall apologetic nature of the staff, we... More

Fantastic food! Real La.- style cooking . It is like a shotgun house, long and narrow, but inside is great food and fun times. One table looks out over the Pacific, so keep your fingers crossed. The seafood platter is out of this World. It is a little pricey, but it easliy feeds two hungry adults. After you enjoy this... More

Great jambalaya and gumbo. The ladies who own the place are very friendly and fun people. It's a little pricey, but you get huge portions and they don't skimp on the ingredients. The jambalaya must have a pound of shrimp in it!
