Great Selection of Food

We bought our picnic food items there. Great selection of cheeses and meats. Pre-made salads, roasted veggies were excellent. Try the kale or chicken salad. I loved the gluten free pastry options: Highly recommend the cocoa nibs bites, donut muffins, and german chocolate cake muffins. All gluten... read more

Our party ordered two sandwiches and salads from the deli. The Reuben was very small and greasy while the turkey sandwich was on a sourdough roll that was very dry. In addition I believe that there was one slice of turkey on the sandwich. Didn't come close to being worth what we paid. Probably won't return.

The four of us arrived in Healdsburg for our annual visit just before noon and as we always do, headed straight for the Oakville Grocery Co. We always visit mid-week between the Wine Road/Barrel Tasting Weekends as it’s the best way to avoid the crazy crowds that overwhelm the area on the two weekends. We’ve found over the years that... Fantastic croissant with fried egg, bacon and cheese. Be sure and also get side order of bacon. Best I've ever had.

We typically eat here or in the Yountville original whenever we come to town. Nice selection of local wines & foods.

This is just one of those things where the history of the place is so interesting, that you need to go... even if you don't buy anything. I mean, founded in 1881, it's the oldest continually operating grocery store in California. That's pretty impressive. Besides, you pass it on the way to a lot of the wineries. This particular location... More

There is a better place in Heldsburg called the shed. Try that out. The oak vile grocery when it first opened used to be the place to go. Gourmet foods, deli, wines, tastings. Well someone has cut back on the old format it's still a deli but the shopping area mostly wine. Go to the Shed

I live in Healdsburg and I find this to be the ONLY snooty place in town. I hate the arrogance of the service people and the food is in the lower 25% of what Healdsburg has to offer.

They have a great selection of prepared foods, sandwiches and drinks, Half bottles of wines available as well. Take it out on their front terrace in the sun to watch people go by and enjoy your food and drink. Enjoy

This place is a must for picnic items on your napa visit. From sandwiches to pasta salads to baked goods, you can come out with a feast! They have definitely expanded since our last visit a few years ago, but the premise is still the same. The old, original milk coolers soring beverages are cool, as is the whole flow... More
