We spent a couple days in Healdsburg and chose Scopa for dinner in the first night. Our reservations were early at 6:30 and the place was packed. While we had to wait another twenty minutes for our table it was worth it. We chose a bottle of Maurtison Zin upon recommendation of our server (another review). We also chose the... More

Scopa is terrific. A low-key (not fancy), small restaurant with great food and well-priced Italian and local wines. It is very popular, so reservations are recommended (over the phone, beginning one month out from your desired date). We tried some excellent appetizer specials featuring seasonal ingredients like grilled peaches and stuffed squash blossoms. Followed these with a pappardelle pasta special... More

Little place. We loved it. You need reservations. We went on their winemaker Wednesday when then have a winemaker come and visit with you about their wines. Great idea. We started with olives and lupini beans (addictive) and my celiac husband had a great pasta dish with beef and pork ribs and I had the chicken. No problem for gluten-free.... More

The food was good but not a huge menu to choose from. We had a wonderful time though visiting with the couple at the table next to ours. The restaurant is very small and reservations are really needed if you don't want to wait hours.

Been going to this place for the last few years on our annual sojourn to Healdsburg. Always a bit crowded & hard to get in, but best Italian I've had outside Italy!! Not that it matters, but my wife and I are Italian and are Italian food snobs :) Try the nonna chix dish or the pork rib Sugo with... More

Without a doubt, one of the best meals in recent memory. We enjoyed Scopa for our 10 year anniversary meal and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is casual, as others have mentioned. It is very small but not claustrophobic and easy to miss as they have embraced the original facade of the building (formerly a barber shop). While the... More

With exposed brick walls and a teeny-tiny dining room, Scopa is a delight to see. The food, however, was even better. So fresh, so real, so delicious. Go now. (But make reservations.)

For my husband's 60th Birthday we were joined by two of his sons and their significant others (wife and girlfriend). We were seated at the picnic table for 6 which is in front on the square. It was a warm evening so it was perfect. It seems noisy inside so we were happy with our table. The food was great...salads... More

Scopa is a hard reservation to come by and that's due to the very intimate setting and buzz about the food. Everything is prepared fresh and locally. They do not cut any corners. Portions are small to moderate but designed to allow for multiple courses and sharing. Trust me, you won't leave hungry and you'll want to try as much... More

Very clean, simple, casual place, on the Plaza. Staff attentive and relaxed. Food, especially pizzas, very good and thoughtfully chosen, prepared expertly, delivered quickly. Reservations in advance may be needed, especially for weekends. Has an affiliated larger restaurant nearby.
