Don't let the Japanese name fool you. This is not authentic JAPANESE food. Sushi meats looked good but lacked the most important factor, seasoned rice (su). Sashimi served without the artfyl slicing typically found at a good sushiya-san. Tempura you best choice. Don't go for bland soup based choices. Ray's was much better. We won't be back. Overpriced for the... More

Pretty good sushi. Used to be called Ray's sushi but got sold or bought out. Inside got a bit of a refresh and now it is Sushi Ichimoto. Overall pretty good. The fish is very fresh and the quality not bad. I small ding because it's a little more expensive than the old restaurant. So better make this a night... More

Mostly, I check hamachi for the fressment of the sushi restaurant. Here, Ray's sushi has very fresh ones everytime I went there. Maybe they are packed everyday so can have fresh food everyday. I am big fan of Titanic roll and Hamachi Nigiri. I love there and when i back to Eastbay, of course I definitely be there again. One... More

This place has fairly good sushi, some rolls are very popular such as Raider roll, Titanic roll, etc. However , customer service is very inconsistent .Reservation can be thrashed if you show up 2 minutes late since their motto seems to be money first instead .They just changed the name to Sushi Ichimoto with nicer interiors but more expensive menu.Everything else is... They closed for some reason. I am not sure if they moved though. The sushi was excellent and the service matched. We went there on an annual basis. I believe with Sushi you get what you pay for. It cost a little more but was well worth it.

Ate here twice during my recent stay in Hayward. Fish was always fresh and the rolls were very tasty! I especially loved the baked rolls.
