A nice little place tucked in by the marina in Half Moon Bay :) There is absolutely nothing upscale about this local restaurant but it is a great local eatery. Formica bench seats, weathered wooden tables and minimal decor but good food that is served up quickly. Reasonable prices and fresh fish make this a nice stop for residents and... More

Sitting right on the docks of Half Moon Bay, you will find ketch joanne. A small restaurant( with a bar), with a pub like atmosphere. A diverse menu with fresh seafood. Good bread, good food, good beer. The locals def go there! Small restrooms, but there are bigger ones on the boat docks where there are baby changing stations.

I visited the bar at Ketch Joanne several times while staying in Half Moon Bay for a 2 week business trip. The place was lively and entertaining. The bar service was good and the food was delicious. But what stood out most to me was the local color. This place has a bold personality and it isn't afraid to show... More

Great food! Louies are loaded! The tempura zucchini and mushrooms are so yummy. I'm a fan of the Boston clam chowder but you must try their Manhattan chowder.

The waitstaff was good, the ribeye was good but expected to be better. The seafood had no flavor and tasted boiled. I would not go back.

The wait staff was the horrible; the waiter took the drink the drink order, one cola and one beer, 10 minutes later he served a flat cola and a warm beer. Order was taken and the waiter disappeared. The cola was replaced with water and my food arrived, the presentation on the whole crab was nice, but the crab was... More

Took a lazy drive on a hot day from Los Altos to Half Moon Bay/Pillar Point Harbor. This was our second time to eat at Ketch Joanne. No, it isn't a "cheap" place to eat, but the food is very good and they give you very satisfying portions. Sitting there we noticed how many "usuals" come in: the wait staff... More

This little hidden gem in Pillar Point is a terrific spot to eat. I've been here 3 times during the past 6 months, and every time it is a great place. Why? The place is cute and "upscale-divey." The service is great and the food is outstanding. It's casual and comfortable. Our bar-person was Crystal, who was friendly, funny, and... More

Pillar Point Harbor is our favorite spot to visit. In front of the harbor there are several restaurants, we tried every single restaurant and found Ketch Joanne is the best. Fresh calamari fires, sandwiches, both Boston and Manhattan style clam chowders are good, and loved their oysters too.
