We split a whole fresh crab with the braised artichokes and roasted brussel sprout sides. It was a delicious feast. Great services and excellent views.
Sam's doesn't look so inviting from the outside, especially if you only see it in darkness. But inside the place is buzzing, with chatter, and people relaxing. The staff are helpful and efficient, and service is on the ball. Situated near the seashore the tables which overlook the shoreline are taken first. The chowder here is to die for, and the fish... Sea Front Restaurant. Great Views Casual Dining. The food is fresh and the portions generous. I had Gumbo loaded with crab. My wife had the "famous Lobster roll" which I felt was overrated .Drinks were very good. Calamari appetizer is a good way to start you meal.
The key to eating here is to make reservations which we did through Open Table. The parking lot was jammed as usual (the last tiem we tried to eat here we couldn't find a parking space - even on the street). When we arrived we were seated immediately. The chowder was great and the fish sandwich was good but skimpy... More
We stopped at several places in the area looking for some seafood and a chance to watch MNF game. The atmosphere and service were spot on. My spouse ordered a whole lobster, I got the lobster roll which was fantastic and without any of the work she had to put into her entree. Too chilly for the deck the evening... More
Must get the lobster roll. Sit outside and enjoy the view. Worth the wait for outside. At times there is evening music; check the website.
Went just for a drink on the deck. service was fantastic--it was a little chilly and we sat at a fire pit located on the deck overlooking the ocean-was very romantic and we sipped wine and had appetizers
We just happened upon Sam's going down the coast because of a ton of cars at 2:30 in the afternoon. We've travelled both coasts of the USA and had Clam chowder from Maine to Florida and down the Pacific coast as well. Their Clam Chowder was the best. Oysters Rockafeller ( or something of a similar name) were outstanding. Restaurant... More
We called for reservations, but we were told to come and the wait would be 20 to 30 minutes. We arrived, (so busy that we had to park along the highway), put in our name, and we were called to our table in about 15 minutes. Our server, Matt, told us about the menu offerings and we settled on the... More
I chose Sam's because it was next to my hotel (the Beach House) and convenient. It was a bit crowded and hectic, but it that was expected on a busy weekend. The food was excellent, I had the famous lobster roll and the New England Chowder. The service was prompt and courteous.
