Good Fish and chips

Our family ate here while visiting the Bay Area. Our waiter John was very helpful and knew his stuff. The fish and chips were amazing and the cocktail sauce had just enough horse radish to make it pop. My wife had a fish taco and really enjoyed it. They were so busy they ran out of ice for our... read more

At Flying Fish, the food is great. We got some mussels, and clam chowder. We also ordered a small thing of Poke, and some crab bread. I think theses all are things you should order. The clam chowder wasn't the best, but it was still good. The Poke was great, and the mussels were lovely. The service was great. The... More

The worst meal of our 10-day summer trip to California was at the Flying Fish Grill in Half Moon Bay. Based on the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor, we had picked this restaurant for the last meal of our trip. The young male waiter who served us consistently demonstrated very poor customer service skills. He was very slow to take our... More

Stopped here for lunch on a foggy week day in HMB. Great garlic bread, cioppino, and fish tacos with lots of flavor. Service was just fine. Great place to eat lunch.

My husband and I stopped here while on a weekend getaway. We've been here before, but we had forgotten how good the food really is. My husband got the captain's plate and I go the chicken club sandwich. Other than getting a very new waitress who seemed nervous and a bit forgetful, it was a great experience. The seafood on... First time I came: excellent service, delicious food. Second time: Server could not remember anything, and the food was awful. Awful. I haven't been back since.

The first place we stopped on our way to the hotel. Great food; great service; you have to try the crab and cheese French bread. The menu is full of delicious selections. I had the crab sandwich, yum, and my daughter had the fish and chips.

We really enjoyed our lunch at the Flying Fish Grill. Saw the review on tripadvisor and gave it a try. Our appetizer was sinfully good, crab and cheese garlic bread. I ordered the Grilled ahi tuna salad and was so surprised to see as much tuna as I did! It was a very generous serving and perfectly cooked. My fiance... More

I haven't been here since the original Flying Fish was a taco stand off a fish market on 92 and Main. I went there FOR the fish tacos. Had some clam chowder that was just OK for $5.95.. ouch for a cup and nothing special to boot. Ice tea was weak and we never were asked if we wanted refills.... More

We are so glad we read the reviews and stopped here. It is tucked away off the main drag but easy to get to. The fish tacos were great, the fish and chips was fresh and not greasy and flacked off beautifully. A neighboring table ordered the combo fish platter which was so large they shared it and looked wonderful.... More
