Some of the best fish tacos that I've ever had!

As we were driving from Santa Cruz to San Francisco, we found ourselves around Half Moon Bay, California right around lunch time. Thank goodness for all the food apps on my phone that led us right to Flying Fish Bar and Grill. We arrived around 11:30 and were seated immediately. The restaurant... read more

Flying Fish Grill has been a long time favorite of locals for decades, and their move to a new, larger location hasn't changed anything we love one bit! Their menu choices broadened, and they have some of the freshest fish served on the Coast, as well as some great chicken and beef options. The service is friendly, fast and efficient,... More

This is what what was written on the receipt. Their restaurant motto matched the experience we had. My wife and myself both thought our meals was very good. I had the mahi and scallops tacos and my wife the salmon. We enjoyed our meals.

On the way to San Francisco Airport and found this restaurant on Trip Advisor. This would be a good choice for someone who wanted a different type of eating experience and appeared to be a favorite with a lot of locals. I had a cod sandwich with cole slaw, served with an ample bun and other dressing--just okay. The decor... More

Found this place by accident while on a recent trip. Great selection of fish and especially fish tacos. My cod and mahi mahi tacos were delish. Had the crabby cheese bread, too. Staff was friendly. It's a big place with a Hawaiian them. I'll be back.

If you can get past the smell -- and we almost didn't stay because of the overpowering fried-fish-oil that smacked us in the face at the door -- the food's not bad. Lots of locals, not much in the way of décor, but the fish and chips were good. They need to work on the exhaust fans or change the... More

Stopped in for lunch with family during recent stay in Half Moon Bay. Loved the salmon and scallop tacos. Wasn't very busy as we arrived early for lunch but service was very good. Would certainly recommend to anyone who has an opportunity to visit the area and looking for good food.

A great find! Will definitely go back when in the area. Great selection of food for all, not just fish dishes. We had great appetizers and cocktails. I loved the crab cakes and Mahi fish taco! I shared some of my daughter's steak which was very good. My son had a specialty called something like ciapano. My wife liked her... More

First, the sign that told us to go back to the patio to enter was sitting against the wall so couldn't tell if it was current. Problem is, my parents are elderly and very slow so it made a difference in how long it took us to get there. Secondly, given they were moving so slow, the girl at the... More

Drove 2 hours to eat at this restaurant. It was affordable and the food was fabulous. For a family of 5 with drinks included, we were able to eat in under $90.00. We had the calamari as an appetizer, which was extremely tasteful and cooked just perfect. For our entrees, my son in law and I both had the fish and... More
