Let me start by saying that I normally don't write negative reviews. I'm aware of the fact that 99.9% of other patrons could have had a 5 star experience here & that I represent the .1%. But, if I feel like I wasted my time & money, I'm going to say something. My wife & I stopped here for an... More

This was one of our last stops before we left Half Moon Bay. We had to take home the fresh bread made daily and the cinnamon crisps. Great place for coffee and a fresh pastry. Every time we stood in line there was a local resident standing next to us for the fresh bread. Enjoy!

This is a no-frills good eats breakfast joint in town. Been here more than once and I will continue to have breakfast there whenever I am in town.

We have come here three times for breakfast now because we usually head over to the beach after to walk our dogs. The first time the food was pretty good, but wasn't terribly hot by the time we got it. Essentially, the way this place works is you step up to the bakery/food service counter and order from the specials/menu.... More

we stopped in because we were told they had the best cookies and such. They were very good. A very busy place to visit. I would probably try another bakery if you don't want to wait.

Located in downtown Half Moon Bay with great pastries and bread and coffee. Nice inside patio area. Check hours before you go however as we tried to go in the evening and it was closed.

First time here (and last) my wife ordered a Pesto Chicken Salad sandwich and I ordered a baked turkey sandwich. For $9.75(without drink) we received two mediocre sandwiches - the pesto chicken was like a thin pesto-spread on white bread and the turkey was a generic combination of sandwich elements adding up to a VERY boring sandwich. The sandwiches were... More

We love this place! Walk in and see the beautiful bakery items. Haven't had anything that wasn't delicious. Wood oven baked pizza is fabulous. Very pricey but worth it.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch. The salads were unbelievable good, with lots of fresh produce. Everything is very seasonal, so you get the best of what is available.

We happened upon the Moonside Bakery in HMB. On a whim, I ordered cookies and the pumpkin bread pudding. The bread pudding wasn't bad, but it wasn't spectacular. It also contained raisins which isn't uncommon in bread pudding, but I don't like raisins. The cookies were also less than spectacular. I'm possibly spoiled by the grandness of Specialty's cookies and... More
