Coffee and cake on the go

This place is located about Galway down Main St. I stopped here for some caffeine while driving up CA1 and grabbed a couple of the thumbnail cakes with my cappuccino. These were a nice little treat while on the road and reasonably priced.

Fresh danishes, cookies and all things a great bakery should have. Loved it so much I went back several days later for another helping. If you are within a 2 hour drive of half moon bay this place is a absolute must stop and partake!! great indoor dining area too.

Certainly, the staff appeared put upon and that was such a distraction that we all ordered bakery items as quickly as a party of five can, without realizing there was a full breakfast menu to select from!! That said, everyone enjoyed their bagel, pastry and coffees....just kept looking longingly at the egg dishes and French toast that we saw others... More

This place has a beautiful display of baked goods, breads and pizza rolls. Also has a gorgeous pizza oven. The lines are long and the prices are high, but the goods are wonderful. Wish the staff was friendlier and more accommodating.

Moonside Bakery offers such good breads, pastries, coffees, and other foods that I wish I could be a loyal patron. The owner is a much-awarded and admired chef. Yet I always feel as though they've done me a great favor by serving me. The staff seldom smile or greet customers, and, if the place isn't busy, you can be ignored... More

We were driving through on our way to San Francisco from Santa Cruz, and found this gem after walking up and down the shopping street looking for lunch. It seemed the quickest, with the most reasonable prices and good servings. We were right. And, the extra benefit is you can leave with a delicious cookie - or two - for... More

Nice selection of baked goods and creative options for breakfast, using local and organic products. Plenty of seating options--inside, outside or in a small courtyard area. Only complaint, no one can seem to make a good cappuccino in the USA. Skip that and look elsewhere if that's what you're after.

We stopped in Half Moon Bay just to look around for a short while and came across this bakery. We bought a really lovely fruit tart to take to friends we were visiting. We had it for supper and it had a really nice texture. We also bought a glass Christmas decoration (our only one) for our camper which was... More

A great pizza!! Tender, thin crust and served piping hot. I ordered the Napoli and asked them to add some grilled chicken. Ate half there and took the rest back to the hotel for dinner.

Just browsing stores in one of my favorite places on earth, my daughter and I responded to my hunger pains and walked in for lunch. It's a quaint little place with a nice menu for sandwiches and lots of yummy looking goodies in the bakery counter windows. So we ordered and enjoyed our food. There is a large back area... More
