A Good Choice

My wife and I dined at Navio on February 6th, 2015. It is a quiet, beautiful place for a great meal. The food and the service are excellent.

It is definitely a 5 star Resturant. The food quality and presentation was unbelievable. The desserts were just as good and very unique.

Navio at the Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay provides remarkable and gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean. The views are worth a million bucks, but the food isn't. That is not to say that the food is not good, but for a $109 Sunday Brunch, I expect more than just B+ food. Sunday brunches are hit or miss. This one... More

Generally, when a meal is fabulous or awful, I remember. For a restaurant that is considered high end, I can't recall what I ate. I will note that the wine selection and cocktails were excellent. Before you pay the high amount this restaurant costs, consider going to some other local establishment.

After being so pleased with the hotel, breakfast at Navio was disappointing. I ordered two eggs poached medium with whole wheat toast. Along with sausage and sliced tomatoes. For $30 I expected a good breakfast. The eggs were overcooked and the tomatoes had no flavor. On the plus side, the view was fabulous and the service was good.

Went to Navio for their Saturday Buffet Breakfast. This restaurant is located in the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Half Moon Bay. Absolutely a stunning location on the beach front with a Golf course running parallel between the ocean and the hotel. The Friday and Saturday Buffet Breakfast is priced presently at $32 per person and it includes both cold and... More

The food was decent, however, being their over the holidays you are their with a lot of children. Why the hostess always sits a couple next to a family with a ton kids when their are many open tables always just baffles me.

Navio has a very limited menu and is not a mealtime solution if you aren't a fish or steak person. Service, as expected from a Ritz restaurant is great. Food is good and costly. Recommended if in the half moon bay area as there are a very limited number of high end eateries in the area.

Great service and good food, but the portions were small and very expensive. The menu is almost all centered around sea food, and the night I dined there was only one land option. The dishes were creative and interesting, but just all so small. Two of us ordered three appetizers, two entrees, and two desserts and didn't feel full. So... More
