Description: The Historic Miramar Beach Restaurant & Bar has a long and colorful history going back more than 70 years. It was originally designed and built as a Prohibition speakeasy to serve the liquor smuggled into the Bay Area through a drop off point on Miramar Beach. We have kept the historical ambiance and decor of the 1920s including an incomparable collection of photos from the era. With only a frontage road between us and the beautiful Pacific Ocean, we have the number one view and sunset on the Coast side. Check out our website at www.miramarbeachrestaurant.com.

Had lunch with 3 friends and each of our sandwiches were pretty good. Lobster meat in the lobster roll tasted like it was a day or so old but it was okay. Crab Melt looked and tasted delicious. The seafood chowder was excellent. It is rich so a cup was more than enough.

I eat here often - it is a local gem that caters to the tourists on the weekends and the locals during the week - it's a "Cheers" kind of place - where everyone knows your name. Great views of the ocean, and the sound of the waves crashing when you step out of the car, always reminds you that... More

Miramar restaurant has been here for ever. Recently they remolded their out door seating with a fire pit, heat lamps, glass panels to block the wind- a delightful place for lunch on Sundays. I had the crab sandwich and my friend had the eggs benedict. Food is good. Services are great.

We love sitting in the outdoor patio at Miramar. Even when the weather is not so nice (which is a lot), the heat lamps and fires keep it very comfortable.

Spent the last night of our costal vacation at the Miramar. The restaurant sits right on the beach in a historic old house. Complimentary valet makes parking easy. Hector our bartender was fabulous.... Try the raspberry mohito.... We had reservations but waited at the bar for a short time (15 min) for a seat at the window. Well worth the... More

3 of us had lunch and everything was very good...fish and chips, seafood chowder, and cod. Service was excellent. Lemon drop martini, very good. Only negative: they don't open til noon!

We had a wonderful meal with a gorgeous ocean view. Live music (piano) added to the overall magic. Very attentive service. A perfect romantic night out.

We had lunch here last week and had great service and food. The outside patio is perfect on a sunny day. Good selection of entrees and beers. If you enjoy history, you'll like the reading about the background of the establishment as well as look at some of the historical photos located inside the restaurant.

Miramar is usually our first choice when deciding where to bring friends from out ot town, because of the wonderful ocean view and intimate, warm ambiance of the restaurant. We often come for the wonderful menu specials on Thursdays. However, this evening, which was a Saturday, we were deeply disappointed in the entrees. I had the "special", which was parmesan crusted... We were a little early for our reservation, so we had a drink at the bar. What a friendly little beach casual find. It's like Cheers at the beach. Nonetheless, the food and service are top notch. Our waiter happily accomodated us at dinner when we asked for an Ahi Tuna appetizer we saw served at the bar, that is... More
