Description: The Historic Miramar Beach Restaurant & Bar has a long and colorful...
The Historic Miramar Beach Restaurant & Bar has a long and colorful history going back more than 70 years. It was originally designed and built as a Prohibition speakeasy to serve the liquor smuggled into the Bay Area through a drop off point on Miramar Beach. We have kept the historical ambiance and decor of the 1920s including an incomparable collection of photos from the era. With only a frontage road between us and the beautiful Pacific Ocean, we have the number one view and sunset on the Coast side. Check out our website at www.miramarbeachrestaurant.com.

Great restaurant, food, and views!

Had lunch here with the wife on a weekend getaway. Perfect setting and atmosphere. Great views of the ocean. Great seafood. Loved the guy on the piano. Would definitely recommend to all.

This is one of the ocean front places in HMB that is a long standing tradition. Lots of history! I have watched the building change through the more than 30years going there. Much for the better! I still enjoy the food and ambience of the wonderful sunsets! They have a great Thursday menu you must try. Since it is loved... More

This is a favorite place for my wife and I to go when we visit Half Moon Bay. On a nice day, the patio seating can't be beat. Ocean front, and food is reasonable and good.

When you do it right, no gimmicks are needed. Well made drinks followed by great dinner makes for a perfect evening. And we very much enjoyed the live piano music. Great location to enjoy an amazing sunset.

This restaurant has an amazing history during Prohibition, where Canadian Booze running ships would drop their cargo and then trucks would run it north to California. Located in Half Moon Bay, CA. on the coast with dramatic views of the Pacific Ocean. It is also the location of the world famous Mavericks Surfing competition. The food is very good from... More

We were very lucky to find this restaurant and even luckier to be able to be seated right away on a very busy Sunday afternoon. We were shown to a table for two right in front of the windows overlooking the bay. We were a stone's throw away from the water and the view was mesmerizing. The restaurant itself is... More

I shouldn't be telling you this, but the patio at the Miramar Beach Restaurant is so cozy. I took my best friend there for a birthday dinner, and although in January the evenings are cool, I knew I wanted to see and hear the ocean at a place with good food and a relaxing atmosphere. Inside the restaurant there are... More

Had supper here and was very impressed with the food, it was outstanding!! Our waiter was courteous and attentive and he kindly arranged for us to get a table in the window so that we could enjoy the view. The restaurant is large and has several different sections but still feels cosy and intimate. It has a lovely fireplace inside... More

The wife and I went for my birthday dinner because it was close to our room and our dinner there a few years ago was good. Not so much now. We started with drinks. I had a martini that was very good. She had a sparkling wine that wasn't so good from a very limited selection. They did seated us... More

Ordered Scallop and Shrimp Angel hair pasta - bland sauce with tiny scallop and shrimp. Didn't enjoy it, not value for money. Other friends also had similar comments. If you get a table by the window, the view makes up for the food. Remember to take a walk to the right for 15mins for an out of the world view... More
