Description: The Historic Miramar Beach Restaurant & Bar has a long and colorful...
The Historic Miramar Beach Restaurant & Bar has a long and colorful history going back more than 70 years. It was originally designed and built as a Prohibition speakeasy to serve the liquor smuggled into the Bay Area through a drop off point on Miramar Beach. We have kept the historical ambiance and decor of the 1920s including an incomparable collection of photos from the era. With only a frontage road between us and the beautiful Pacific Ocean, we have the number one view and sunset on the Coast side. Check out our website at www.miramarbeachrestaurant.com.

Memorable!

We met friends for lunch to celebrate our anniversaries. Despite the cold, we sat outside around a fire pit and hung out for 3-1/2 hours. We were toasty warm, the food was yummy and the service was excellent (thank you, John R). We met delightful people and dogs at nearby tables and you just can't... read more

We really enjoyed our meal! My had the Lamb! five*'s I had the salmon! five *'s too. We started off with crab cakes. added a bottle P. G. wine. we concluded with raspberry sorbet for my wife & bread pudding for myself. The service was great & the seating was perfect! We'll be back, for sure.

My wife and I ate here for lunch on Saturday 4/25. We got a nice window seat, a good unobstructed view, good service, and good food. We ordered the following: Fish n chips w/ Alaskan cod - pretty good, not overly greasy. Not the best we've had but pretty good. 3 good size chunks of fish. My wife couldn't even... More

Once speakeasy in the 20's this eatery is directly on the Ocean. We had booked through open table and were given a window seat for viewing of the angry surf. One of our group ordered the never empty mimosa, while the others had various beverages. The food was hot, served quickly and with a blast of smiles. We felt welcome.... More

Has the feel of an old school beach restaurant but that isn't bad. It felt very comfortable upon walking in. The menu was familiar but with a bit of a twist on each item. Execution of each dish was well above average bordering on excellent. Wife had the sole and it was very good. I had the Halibut and it... More

I had dinner here the other night. My service was great. I was seated near the window and got to enjoy the sunset. I ordered an appetizer of clams and mussels. It was fine. The garlic bread for dipping was stale, however. I ordered a glass of wine. Unfortunately, the glass was dirty. As my entree I ordered the artichoke... More

Great fresh local produce. Desserts a bit disappointing (bought in?), some more variety for vegetarians would be appreciated. Our waiter was brilliant by the way, and could not have been a better ambassador for the area and for Northern California.

The hotel is good to stay at but I faced problem during breakfast as its almost finished by 9 o clock in the morning and I used to wake up late in the morning after a hectic schedule of the day.
