Description: The Historic Miramar Beach Restaurant & Bar has a long and colorful...
The Historic Miramar Beach Restaurant & Bar has a long and colorful history going back more than 70 years. It was originally designed and built as a Prohibition speakeasy to serve the liquor smuggled into the Bay Area through a drop off point on Miramar Beach. We have kept the historical ambiance and decor of the 1920s including an incomparable collection of photos from the era. With only a frontage road between us and the beautiful Pacific Ocean, we have the number one view and sunset on the Coast side.

Great restaurant right on the ocean

Excellent restaurant that's been there forever...it seems. Right on the ocean and was walking distance from our hotel, which was a bonus!

I was eating alone so sitting at my table with a small glass of water and nothing else for 40 minutes got pretty tiresome. I never even saw my waitress from the time she found out I wasn't drinking alcohol. No breadsticks know nothing. When the food finally did come it was very good. When I finally did see my... More

Been here so many times over the years when we've visited from the east coast. Ideal location, decent parking, terrific view and very good food. Yesterday's visit was quite different. The 4 of us couldn't exactly put our collective finger on it. But there was a definite change in the force. (Valet) parking was a challenge. Lot of wait staff... More

I took my husband here for his birthday Sunday brunch. We were seated right by the window with a fantastic view of the ocean. Endless mimosas and a wonderful selection of fresh seafood brunch entrees made this experience special. Live music as well - a pianist that complemented the atmosphere instead of intruding.

I just don't see it. The only reason why people go her is that it has a great view. Yet the food leaves little to be desired. The service is lacking and the quality of food is terrible. I don't have anything nice to say about an establishment out to rape people of their money.

This historic spot was a very important place during prohibition. Rumrunners ferried booze onto the beach en route by rd to SF. Ten rooms upstairs were used for prostitutes. This was one of many such local establishments, whose buildings are still around today. The area, with its fog, coves, and myriad of beaches, were perfect cover for illicit activities. It... More

We sat outside on the patio and had great views of the ocean. They had a lot of heat lamps which was nice. The food was good, but nothing memorable. But definitely worth trying.

We stayed next door at Landis and had a blast out on the beach patio with a great view while we ate.

An amazing location. The Plexiglas shield keeps the wind out and the fire-pit tables keep you warm! The food was good, but the location was great!

Wanted to love everything about this place. A short walk from Cypress Inn, I was Disappointed in the quality of the food. Overcooked artichoke with uninspired aioli and "parmesan encrusted Halibut . YAY, the Halibut was locally caught, sadly, overcooked. I'd return for appetizers. The Live Piano music was fabulous.
