Description: The Historic Miramar Beach Restaurant & Bar has a long and colorful history going back more than 70 years. It was originally designed and built as a Prohibition speakeasy to serve the liquor smuggled into the Bay Area through a drop off point on Miramar Beach. We have kept the historical ambiance and decor of the 1920s including an incomparable collection of photos from the era. With only a frontage road between us and the beautiful Pacific Ocean, we have the number one view and sunset on the Coast side. Check out our website at www.miramarbeachrestaurant.com.

I shouldn't be telling you this, but the patio at the Miramar Beach Restaurant is so cozy. I took my best friend there for a birthday dinner, and although in January the evenings are cool, I knew I wanted to see and hear the ocean at a place with good food and a relaxing atmosphere. Inside the restaurant there are... More

Had supper here and was very impressed with the food, it was outstanding!! Our waiter was courteous and attentive and he kindly arranged for us to get a table in the window so that we could enjoy the view. The restaurant is large and has several different sections but still feels cosy and intimate. It has a lovely fireplace inside... More

The wife and I went for my birthday dinner because it was close to our room and our dinner there a few years ago was good. Not so much now. We started with drinks. I had a martini that was very good. She had a sparkling wine that wasn't so good from a very limited selection. They did seated us... More

Ordered Scallop and Shrimp Angel hair pasta - bland sauce with tiny scallop and shrimp. Didn't enjoy it, not value for money. Other friends also had similar comments. If you get a table by the window, the view makes up for the food. Remember to take a walk to the right for 15mins for an out of the world view... More

Staff seemed pre occupied and overly busy for the amount of folks that were there dining. The food was tasty yet a bit over priced for what we received.

We had lunch here during our visit with my wife's family, and though we didn't get to sit right at the ocean front window, we still had a nice view of Half Moon Bay. The seafood chowder was really good, and I had the salmon sandwich which was on fresh sourdough bread. Definitely hit the spot. Price wise it was... More

This place stresses is historical origins as a brothel and arrival point for rum runners during prohibition. What it cannot stress is the quality of its food. Stopping while taking the Half Moon Bay passage to San Francisco we chanced upon this place at lunch time. We had to wait in the parking lot until they opened the doors. There... More

Our GPS could not find this place so do some recon before it gets dark. Difficult to find.,,.The next day we drove and saw what a nice place it would have been.

I have been going there for cocktails at sunset lately. Finally stayed for dinner and it was great.i highly recommend it. Outside fire pits are so fun to sit around and visit with people. The wait staff is very friendly and dogs are welcome!

We took friends from the East Coast to lunch at Miramar Beach Restaurant. We all had fish from the specials menu, and everything was really delicious. The service impressed me a lot; water and iced tea glasses constantly refilled, used dishes removed promptly, but we weren't hurried to finish, even though it was a busy Saturday afternoon. We'll definitely be... More
