I grew up in the Bay Area and started going to Barbara's 35 years ago (I believe they have been in business for 38) I was in town last weekend and made the drive over to the coast just to eat here!! Ordered my go to - the combo louie (dungeness crab and bay shrimp) and it was superb, as... More

A small family-run restaurant right on the water with huge windows and, therefore, lovely sea views. Friendly staff, quick service, and piping hot food. Delicious food. A little gem. Would go again!!!!

Nice friendly place near the water however, all the fish is deep fried. Very unhealthy. Fish is flavorable and atmosphere Interesting.

The fish and chips here are very good! You can sit outside and watch the bay. Make site you have a reservation if you're planning to go here in the weekend! Otherwise you have the take away service next door! Also good!

Our personal rule is to always go where the locals go, so when Half Moon Bay's residents repeatedly pushed us in the direction of Barbara's Fishtrap , we had no choice. Even though we knew we were in for something good, we weren't prepared for just how great it was! This place has some of the best fish and chips... More

We ate here because they were recommended in our Road Food book and the AAA Magazine and we were very glad we did. Had to wait 45 minutes at 3:00 in the afternoon, so there probably isn't a slow time here, but the wait was worth it. We split bowl of clam chowder (there are about 4 cups in a... More

This is one of those places you can eat at everyday. We met some locals at a winery, outside of town. They have lived in the area, for many years. They do not go out to eat very often, but when they do, it is always to Barbara's. We went on a Saturday evening and it was 7 p.m. When... More

Based on the reviews at TripAdvisor we decided to eat at this place. The food is so-so, not bad but nothing to rave about it or to merit a return trip. The place is crowded and good luck trying to find a parking spot plus they only take cash. The prices are a bit too high for the food you... More

It's American seafood cooked the old-fashioned way, and if you like that kind of food, it's Great! It was a disappointment for us and throughout the night, the food just sat like a lead weight in our stomachs.

We have gone here for years but no longer to the restaurant. We use their very convenient take out window and go eat by the water. No longer cheap, but still worth it when you are driving Highway 1.
