Description: Relatively new. I think it opened about 6 montha ago? It's got great food at great prices - it's answered my prayers for a great Chinese restaurant here on the San Mateo County coast. Mango chicken is to die for, and only $8.

Time and time again when eating here, the food has been consistently wonderful. Lunchtime and dinner. Fresh ingredients show through and the sauces are amazingly flavorful. China House is our go to for when we need dinner delivered, they are fast and the food gets to us steaming even though we are 10 miles away.

Great value, great service. Everything fresh cooked, not too greasy. Will cook what you request (omit hot peppers, etc). Everyone we have referred to this place have been very pleased. They also deliver locally. They remember you, & are friendly. We order varied dishes, & all have been great. Best wah wonton soup I've ever had!

We stayed at the Half Moon Bay Lodge for one weekend in January. After driving all day and being at the beach, we just wanted to stay in and order take-out for dinner. The front desk of the hotel mentioned this place although no one there had ever tried it, but they had free delivery so we thought, why not?... More

HMB has a dearth of Chinese restaurants -- the available ones have been called "bad" "badder" and "worse than that" -- so when China House opened, the collective "we" had such high hopes. The atmosphere is fine. The Service is stellar - such nice enthusiastic servers. Pricey for Chinese. But - the food is an issue. We have been 4... More

We ordered 3 dishes: Chicken Chow Mein, Mixed Vegetables and Orange Twist Chicken. All three were definite winners and comparable to the best Chinese food we've eaten anywhere from North America to Europe. The food was freshly prepared, used high-quality ingredients and was flavoured and spiced to perfection. The servings were generous and we had anticipated having some boxed to... More
