2 reasons why you should not go to Akasaka. #1. It will spoil every other sushi place you thought was the best. #2. It will be harder for me to get a reservation for the bar to sit with my favorite sushi chef. This place has the best sushi and sashimi around. Fresh and flavorful...served in large portions. Highly recommend... More

This is bar far one of the Best sushi bowls I have ever had in my life. Sushi is great, appetizers are Grand, and the service is cool. Prices are more than far for the amount of food you get it. Love coming here whenever I get the chance. Oh one other thing...Make reservation or your not getting in.

This is my favorite place for sushi around the area. Their prices may look pricy, $45 for chirashi, but it's worth. Their portions are huge. The fish quality is excellent. The chirashi bowl can stuff 2 ppl if nothing else ordered. It's best to share with a few people and order other dishes to share. Everything is large portion so... More

Super fresh sushi, awesome rolls (really big) and the best sashimi (nice, large pieces). A great restaurant for many years and still serving the best sushi. Enjoy....

Location-wise, it's kind of in the middle of nowhere. Price-wise, it's incredibly overpriced and I wasn't even sure how authentic it is. I got the chirashi bowl. It was tasty, but for $50...no. It's not that hard to cut up pieces of fish and put it on top of sushi rice. Admittedly it was fresh, but for $50, I expected... More

This place is really good. Although the prices can look a bit daunting on the menu, they are justified. The amount of fish you get on the rolls here is unbelievable, and the rolls are also HUGE! Worth trying if you are a sushi eater.

Like Foo Foo Tei, Akasaka is located in a strange neighborhood, across industries parked along a railroad track where you would find a burger caboose. Nothing like that here. Once inside, a paradise of fine japanese cuisine, with years of experience. The original owners are no longer greeeting you but their picture and sprits are still there. Make reservation, ask... They do give you a lot of food for the money. The fish pieces are large and portions are huge however, I found the quality isn't up to par. Felt like they try to make up for the lack of quality with more food. However, that said, it is a nice little restaurant with friendly staff. I would return but... More
