Excellent local restaurant

We had a short wait for a table as the restaurant is small, but it was worth the wait. All of us were delighted with our food. Pretty good food, but extremely noisy. Could not carry on a conversation within our group of four. Many using their sporting event voice in a small space with no attempt at noise dampening. For those wanting a boisterous atmosphere it is recommended. Otherwise, go elsewhere.

The ambiance is great, very trendy and fun. Sadly the food wasn't well seasoned. The truffle fries in particular were almost tasteless. The flash fried brussel sprouts were the highlight.

Even though we live close to Guerneville, I've never check out the restaurants in town. Going with local recommendations we decided on Boon. Boon is apparently the name of the owners dog. The menu is one that you want to order everything on it and have a difficult time deciding. All choices sound great. We started with the signature brussel... More

Quick update on a recent dinner at Boon. More consistent than our last visit which made for a very nice dinner. We had some cheese prior to dinner so we split an app and each ordered an entree. flash fried brussel sprouts, lemon, garlic, olive oil, chili flakes. This dish was perfect, lots of citrusy garlic flavor and enough heat... More

Context: two for dinner on a Friday night at 7pm. Atmosphere: kind of trendy, simple and crowded space with some inside and some kind of outside seating. Probably 20 tables or so. Feels urban. Service: friendly greeting and quick seating. Didn't have to wait though the place was busy. Service for the meal was efficient and informed without being intrusive.... More

The meals were gourmet. The burger 16 dollars but my husband said it was worth it. I had duck for $28. Very good. I would go back.

I'm not always into exotic ingredients but... The flavors in this dish blend together in a wonderful way. The texture of the polenta is supreme. Server was a little impersonal and self absorbed. Ignore it and enjoy the food and wine. Ridge vineyard's selections are worth the price.

The write up on this restaurant on Trip Advisor indicates they are closed on Sunday after 3 PM, but they were open Sunday evening. We stopped and waited for a table. This is a small site seating only about 20 inside at tightly packed tables. We were not very hungry, so we just ordered an entrée with wine by the... More

A small restaurant but with excellent food and wine. The polenta lasagna was very tasty, full of flavor for a vegetarian dish, just a hint of heat from the spices. Sauteed greens were a great accompaniment and perfectly cooked. Nice selection of wine by the glass. The server was a little abrupt at first, busy I'm sure, but friendlier as... More
