We are always on the lookout for good Mexican spots, and we knew the minute we pulled up this would be a winner. It's not fancy (you order at the counter and they bring your meal to your table) but the variety of dishes is mouthwatering. Highlights: You choose your own combinations, the portions are generous, they've got draft beer,... More

Delicious! And the nearby taco truck in the Safeway parking lot, also owned by La Tapatia, is a local staple for a very, very good reason...¡sabrosísima!

Good place for a quick bite. Standard roadside counter service space, but the staff is very friendly and a very good selection of food items. The tongue tacos and the fish tacos were excellent. Washed down with a Lagunitas IPA, it made for an enjoyable and quick lunch.

Family owned casual dining. Breakfast served all day (think machaca & huevos rancheros) Traditional Mexican fare, seafood specialities and a children's menu. Choose from a variety of fresh salsas. Large portions, fast friendly service. Loved by the locals for good reason.

We visited family in the area and had dinner here. The food was great and the staff equally good. Very large servings, and a large and varied menu. A little on the noisy side, but the food made it worth while. Can't wait to go back.

After a morning hiking in the redwoods, and headed down the river for SF, we were hungry for classic Mexican, and weren't disappointed. Helpful and friendly service, great tastes for a side-of-the-road taqueria. Fish tacos (tilapia) were cooked cleanly and without heavy coating; fresh chile relleno about as good as it gets for the battered version. Our rice and beans... More

Eight of us showed up here on Saturday night at 7:30 after trying to get a table at Boon and at the Garden Grill (Boon wouldn't even look at us because we were 8 people and the Garden Grill had 1 waitress for the entire restaurant!) We walked right in and got a table. They offered to wait on us... More

Food was authentic for tex mex. Not real Mexican food. Beans and rice were decent, but the main courses were dry and under seasoned. If you like Taco Bell you might like this stuff.

After days of fresh tomatoes, avocados, Brie, wine, olives, and French bread, the cheese enchilada with rice and beans hit the spot. The chile relleno was decent, the tamale was dry and the quesadilla was tiny. The other MAJOR drawback was they put to-go orders in styrofoam... Yuck. My Mexican rice tasted of styrofoam. Yuck. And, we inquired if there... More

Food was good. Restaurant was very crowded when we were there and you have to stand in line to order food. Once order was finally placed, food came fairly quickly and was good. Menu and ordering was a little confusing to a first time customer, butI would return should we be in the area again.
