I also loved besides the food the charming atmosphere! Applewood is a great spot to stop off and eat or to stay on your visit to Sonoma County. So glad I discovered this space that is now a beautiful memory. Hopeful I will be back some day for more.....

We had the beef and lamb entrees...and each was perfectly prepared and serves with style and grace. An excellent spot in the redwoods for dinner!

Excellent food and service. Had leg of lamb and a really good potato soup. Very expensive, not sure I would come back as there are so many other places to try in Sonoma County.

It could have been the wine, because we had the wine pairings with the taster menu, but it was an excellent meal. We had fun too. It wasn't stuffy or overcrowded. The food was beautiful. there was a scallop dish that was outstanding that night.

We celebrated our anniversary with dinner here. It was a cold, rainy night, and Applewood restaurant was just the perfect antidote -- the rustic setting, woodsy dining room with a fire in the fireplace, cozy and not too big. Our meal was first rate. I had the roasted beet salad, my husband started with the scallop appetizer. Both of us... More

We had a Groupon special for two 2.5 course meals (one dessert) here, including a Russian River bottle of wine. The shrimp appetizer came with uni, which is not for everyone. The beet salad was excellent. The mains, trout and steak, were very good. The trout came with a ginger miso broth that was excellent. The dessert, chocolate mousse cake... More

Ambiance, food, service, all were lovely. A wonderful experience. Something we both look forward to do again soon and with full appetites this time to experience and enjoy more dishes.

We stayed three nights at the inn and dined twice for dinner and three times for breakfast. All meals were delicious and service was great. Best deal is Sunday evening when they serve a three course fixed price menu. Also on Sundays, they do not charge a corkage fee if you bring a Russian River Valley wine.

My husband and I went for dinner a few weeks ago and hands down had one of the best meals we've had in a restaurant! I had filet mignonette, it was truly the best cut and prepared so simply. The natural flavor of the meat came out and the chef prepared it perfectly! My husband had a seafood entree and... More

We stayed at the Applewood inn for my birthday and went to eat at their restaurant. We had 5-course pre-fixed dinner. Everything was delicious and service was very attentive and pleasant. We really enjoyed our potato soup, scallops, and lamb. BUT all other plates were well done, too. I am glad that we could try a variety of dishes, all... More
