This is the local special occasion place near Gualala/Sea Ranch. It is in a romantic setting of a quirky, Russian Orthodox-inspired wooden inn complete with onion domes and high ceilings. The menu sometimes features local game like venison. The food ranges from good to great. I particularly enjoy their brunches, with excellently executed brunch classics served with flair and distinction.... More

The dining room was flooded with evening sun and the stained glass windows were very pretty. The room with its onion dome and ceiling stained glass was distinctive and nice. Except for the art by Heidi Edleman, which was seriously disturbing. We had an outstanding server, a woman who lived in Anchor Bay. We were brought homemade bread with yummy... More

Very nice setting. My wife had the Lobster and Prawn dish and I had the Filet. Very good! We also stayed in one of their cottages. They upgraded us to a nicer cottage! That was very nice of them to do! One thing that surprised me is that our server never came back to check with us on how our... More

We absolutely love this place. Funky building looks like and old Russian coastal church. The food is always top notch. I had the venison tenderloin and waffle with the berry compote. The venison there is the best I ever had fork tender.

Heading to our reservation in whale watch Inn B&B, when we passed by this beautiful architecture wondering what it was. B&B owner told us its a restaurant:) we booked our dinner reservations not knowing what the food going to be like. Arrived at 6pm we are the first family there we got the best spot by the window. They have... More

Fantastic food in a fantastic setting. Excellent vegetarian options. Excellent service. Good and very reasonable wine. Food was definitely worth the money. Wish it was here. Have the mushroom pasta. Mmmmm.

This place oozes charm and could have been the dining highlight of our recent vacation, but ended up being a disappointment. The menu looks fantastic, but the final taste was not worth the high price paid. Pretentious is the word that comes to mind. Nice decor and friendly waiting made up some of the slack, but in the end the... More

On our Memorial week-end get-away we stopped here for a drink and a bite to eat at the bar. Took awhile to get service. We asked about what kind of oysters they served and the gentleman didn't know so we never got an answer. Then when we ordered a half dozen oysters found out the price was higher then what... More

Fascinating building on Hwy 1 with an interesting history. Ambiance was fun, food was good. Follow the lead of the locals and eat from the bar menu for a less expensive outing.

Beautiful and quiet. We saw families of deer walking around the grounds. Just down the street, there is a hike through a forest down to a beach. Very nice.
