Excellent food, but they could use some team-building exercises

I have mixed feelings about this place. The food was 100% wonderful. The prices were high, but once we tasted the food we saw why. It was worth the money. I had some sort of pasta with garlic and pine nuts, and my husband had ravioli. However----it took about 15 minutes for someone to decide to... read more

Wonderful dinner with a very broad menu and amazing choice of wines! If you are in Groveland, plan a meal at the Groveland Hotel.

Aloha!! 25...thanks so much for those great comments. We truly do appreciate them and certainly hope you'll come back soon to work your way through that wine list! We love to feature our wines in special events, dinners, etc. Our Thanksgiving Feast will provide the backdrop for some terrific wines to pair with Chef Greg's tantalzing menu he's planned for... Three of us shared a leisurely outdoor dinner. We started with delicious appetizers which were recommended by our excellent server, Laura. We progressed to trying different wines from their very extensive wine list. The entrees were beautifully presented. My pesto shrimp was a bit overcooked but that was the only disappointment of the meal, My companions shared their halibut and... More

You would not expect to find this culinary experience in a little bump in the road on the way to Yosemite Park. Chef Greg is a master at putting together a meal such as oen would expect in downtown San Francisco. Service was excellent from young gal whose name escapes me. This is a worthwhile stop if you are headed... More

I stayed at the Groveland Hotel on a photography venture to Yosemite. I brought my daughter and our beagle along, as the Groveland Hotel will accomodate some pets. (Please note that - at no time - are pets anywhere in the vicinity of the kitchen or dining room.) We had a wonderful experience both with the hotel and the restaurant.... More

We ate at this restaurant as a part of our hotel package, and we all agreed it was the best breakfast we had on our entire week long trip to Oregon and California. The staff was extremely friendly and the owner, Peggy, stopped by to chat with us.

My daughter and I stopped in for Mother's Day brunch while camping in Yosemite and was pleasantly delighted by the warm service John provided and the amaizing selections of food we had to choose from. It was such a special time that we stopped in again before leaving Yosemite that Thursday to enjoy the breakfast before our long journey back... More

We've lived in New York City, Los Angeles, and now San Francisco. We've had a lot of great meals at a lot of great restaurants, but we truly have never had any better meals than what we consistently have at the Groveland Hotel's restaurant. It is quite simply our favorite restaurant in the world!! We have eaten here on all... More

We enjoyed a very fine meal after a long of traveling from San Jose. Excellent food in a quaint old hotel in 'downtown' Groveland, near Yosemite national park. Great menu - both small plate and entrees. Service was attentive and we thought the food was very reasonably priced. Would not hesitate to go there again.

My husband and I have been coming to the Cellar Door restaurant at the Groveland Hotel for 9 years now. The food is consistently tantalizing and the wine list amazing! The staff is always friendly and attentive. We just love coming here. Grover and Peggy Mosley are the owners who always greet us with smiles and Chef Greg Lutes takes... More
