We ate here both nights we stayed at the Groveland Hotel to see Yosemite. The wine list is exceptional. Wonderful descriptions really help making selections. The service was fantastic too. We had Kim. She was very accommodating and knew the wines. The food was very good- about as good as we could reasonably expect from a sleepy little old mining... More

We stayed at the Charlotte one night last week but decided to eat here because my son wanted steak. Wow what a surprise! Maybe we were all over-hungry from travel and exploring Yosemite, but that meal will always be held dear to my heart! Kim, Chet,Tyler, and Andre all did an outstanding job to make this a memorable occasion. I had... More

Good food and that's what counts in a restaurant. we started late and where rushed somewhat by the servant. That's a pity because, the lobster risotto, sirloin and chocolate cake where really good. The insalata caprese was below average. No espresso, machine was switched off. Please no cats in the restaurant! Strange for a restaurant like this.

O.k. after a hike in Yosemite, we needed a good meal to top off the day/night. So we head inti Groverland REST. and bam cool music playing..... then a glass of chilled ice H20 and just chill'in, then we are giver enough time to think about what to order as the menu has plenty!!! I pick the Seafood combo/pasta. excellent... More

Hi, Gar & Sal...thanks for your great review. Guest reviews like yours make our entire staff feel very happy that we were able to make your day a little more pleasant. Our guests are what make my job so rewarding and so much fun! Folks told me I was nuts to restore these raggedy old buildings 23 years ago, but... More

Very friendly and helpful. Slight mishap with the chicken which was quickly and graciously rectified. Wasn't so keen on the cat wandering around.

Thank you, Julia for your great review...Guess that chicken was just too anxious to get out to your table!!! I'm glad our staff took care of it and sent you away happy. Now, about that cat!! That's Momma Cat and she just loves hanging around and greeting our guests. We try to keep her out during food service operations, but... More

Traveling through the historic California town of Groveland , I found myself thirsty and hungry for something a little substantial than the average Bar and Grill , after peeking in the window of the old Groveland Hotel , I decided to give it a try. I was shocked by the verity of the wine list and incredible depth of the... More

Had a wonderful dinner at the Groveland Hotel. Our server Kim was very attentive and personable. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was great. The owner came by our table and shared some history with us which was nice. We are part time in Groveland and have both stayed at the hotel and dined and have never been disappointed! Thanks... More

My wife and I went for dinner on a Friday night. What an awesome find! We meet Kim who greeted us for the front desk, then also gave us a very cool tour of the infamous "Lyle's Haunted Room". Later, my wife and I decided to eat in the restaurant and had yet another woman named Kim serving us. Fantastic... More

We made reservations for a party of 6 for Christmas Dinner on 12/25/13 at 7:30PM. When we made the reservations by phone, no one mentioned that there would be a special Prix Fixe menu and that items on the regular menu would be unavailable. Two of our party are vegetarians. Several items on the regular menu (that we had checked... More

We traveled on christmas day, and this was only resturant open for dinner,. We were very happy about that ! We showed up early, and were greeted warmly, They had a specific menu just for that night's dinner, I had prime rib, my hubby had the lobster special, the lobster special wasn't all that great, but good for a small...
