The waiter that served us went above and beyond. The room was a little chilly but it's an old historic building. Peggy has a good chef because the food was wonderful.

We enjoyed "The Cellar Door" Restaurant in the Groveland Hotel. The restaurant was very elegant. It has a history. Our dinner was very good. The seafood was fresh in the middle of California! I loved my Groveland salad with walnuts, bleu cheese, lettuce and ranch dressing. The ranch dressing did not taste like Hidden Valley. I had beef tenderloin one night... More

This restaurant offers a good menu choice. We experienced good service and good food. Sea bass was excellent along with the tenderloin. Atmosphere was fine with the restaurant in the old hotel.

We enjoyed this Historic Hotel and Restaurant in Groveland, our waiter Ryan Niedens was just right! Attentive, professional, personable. The wine list was fantastic and the quality of menu choices was very impressive. The meal was delicious, service was great, prices were reasonable. Overall a great experience, we'll be back.

This restaurant served us two bad, bad burgers. The server seemed confused when we said that a 'medium rare' burger did not mean charred on the outside and chilled on the inside. Dirty cutlery, dirty carpets, dirty curtains. By far the worst meal that I can remember having. Avoid!

The Hotel is a dated gem. The restaurant patio is really nice. The wine list is spectacular, but the wait staff didn't know anything about wine. The food was mediocre at best. My wife had jambalaya and it was prepared as if nobody cared. We went here because it was rated highly on Tripadvisor and because of the award winning... More

We ate here while staying at the Groveland hotel. The good was actually quite good. We had the puttanesca pasta and the caprese salad. They have a great little patio out back which is very nice yo relax on and enjoy the fresh air.

The restaurant furnishings were very nice and kept the feeling of the "old west". The corkage fee of $20+ seemed a little steep. for the location. My husband ordered the chicken marsala. The presentation was wonderful, his first bite was delicious....THEN he discovered the chicken was RAW! The server was very apologetic and asked if he would like to have... More

We had 2 meals here. One a complimentary full breakfast with the room and a dinner. We had the Greek salad and some salad with fresh organic tomatoes. they were excellent, fresh and flavorful! The owner recommended a bottle wine that was outstanding. The breakfast the next day was great I had the french toast with bacon and my husband... More
