Nice restaurant

Nice cozy restaurant, sophisticated menu, prices ok for this quality restaurant. I especially enjoyed the flight of 4 wines for $18, although I didn't love any of the wines themselves. Recommended.

Our first visit was a summer dinner late on the patio. We ended up waiting 2 entire hours from the time we ordered until the meal was served. Just before the food came out, I cancled mine because I don't like to eat a large meal so late at night. The rest of the family ate their meals which were... More

Extensive wine list, which was nice. The Linguine del Mar that I had was very good. However, my wife's chicken was undercooked(red still visible) and could only eat about 1/2 of it that was cooked. We told waitress and she said, but was it good? Should not of had to pay full price and we were certainly happy the next... More

We arrived at 8pm and wanted a small bite before ending our day. We were two couples and ordered the cheese plate which was wonderful - three cheeses, fruit, crackers, etc.; the brie with small green walnut also wonderful; a salad and one other appetizer and enjoyed all with wine and beer from the bar. We were looking forward to... More

I had the lamb shanks, and they were huge - and perfectly cooked. The service was personal and inviting, while the food was surprisingly creative and high quality for the location. Definitely a nice-night-out dining experience. Probably the best food available in Groveland, so worth the reservation.

We had dinner here tonight. Nice, old world dining room. Staff was attentive (though we were only two, and no more than one other couple dining throughout the evening). The food was okay...but nothing to write home about. We each had a salad that was pretty good, and certainly of generous proportion. I ordered the pork chop. It had no... More

As a several time visitor to the Groveland Hotel, we always like the convenience of the Cellar Door. If you visit during the warmer months, you can bring your pet to dine with you on their expansive patio. The interior dining room also has a wonderful old world charm and ambiance. In truth, the restaurant has had its ups and... More

The waiter that served us went above and beyond. The room was a little chilly but it's an old historic building. Peggy has a good chef because the food was wonderful.

This restaurant offers a good menu choice. We experienced good service and good food. Sea bass was excellent along with the tenderloin. Atmosphere was fine with the restaurant in the old hotel.
