The six of us had a meal here, staying on the property (which does earn you a meal discount). The two of us that ordered the BLT were not real satisfied, but the rest felt their meal was excellent. We shared an excellent dessert also. The service was fast and pleasant, and the atmosphere was... read more

Had a meal here last summer whilst on an RV holiday in Yosemite with family. The host was extremely welcoming and knew his local wines. A few questions bout our food and preferences and he'd selected just the right wine to accompany our food. There was only one table so I, my sister and brother-in-law sat at the bar whilst... More

We were surprised with a bountiful breakfast as part of our stay at Hotel Charlotte's vacation home rental. We were imagining "continental breakfast" but received an all-you-can-eat full self-serve breakfast selection including pancakes, sausage, eggs, toast, cereal (hot & cold options), coffee, juice, milk....Wonderful surprise and delicious. The bistro is beautifully remodeled. Wish we'd made plans to eat dinner. Next... More

My husband and I are surprised that this restaurant gets such good reviews; for us, it was one of the worst dining experiences we have had in a long time. The lemonade was so sour as to be almost undrinkable. The pork tamale tasted ok (even though the mole was rather bland) but the portion was absolutely tiny: it was... More

Dear Sarah Z, I’m sorry to hear that your experience was not a more positive one. Our menu and portion sizes are more of a tapas/small plates sharing style menu. We do also price the menu items to reflect their size and ingredients. The pork tamale has 6 ounces of local raised pork on top of a tamale with fresh... More

My husband and enjoyed a tasty meal at this restaurant in the Hotel Charlotte. The location is charming and romantic, but the food is even better. They specialize in small plates, but the portions were very generous. My husband had the pork tamale - this dish is exceptional! It is a deconstructed tamale with the masa served on a banana... We too were staying in Buck Meadows, and the hotel staff recommended this restaurant to us. What a great choice! I really had a difficult time choosing from the small but eclectic menu. We ended up having the pressed strawberry and Chard salad, the yam gnocchi, and the (huge) mustard and panko crusted pork loin chop with steamed spinach and... More

This is far and away the best restaurant in Groveland. Interesting clientele with a mix of tourists and lively locals. The wine list is mostly local and excellent. There is a good selection of wines by the glass. The menu is eclectic and the food is wonderful. We went here on our last night in Groveland. If we went here... More

While visiting in Yosemite National Park we were staying at a B&B in Groveland. We ventured into town one evening for dinner and decided to try Charlotte Bistro and Bar in Hotel Charlotte. What a find this was!!!!! We started out with Smoked Steelhead Trout deviled eggs. As I am not a big fish eater and my husband does not... More
