To be frank, we weren't expecting much in Groveland in terms of food but don't let the book by the cover fool you. This place has great ambience, wonderful service and delicious food at a reasonable (for Yosemite) price. We had the lamb, veggies, dates and seafood plates plus a nice local white wine. You will enjoy the richness of... More

We had dinner here during a recent trip to Yosemite. And we are so happy that we decided to dine here instead of any of the several other restaurants in the area. The gnocchi was simply fantastic. The chicken special was delicious and different. The service was attentive without being overbearing. And the dessert was so perfect, we would have... More

I wish I could take this restaurant home with me to Belgium (and we have some pretty good restaurants). Nice place, friendly service and such a creativity in their food. Fresh ingredients, combinations that are daring but are wonderfull when you put them into your mounth! SUPER!

I did not expect to find such high quality food and drink in Groveland. The alternatives were pizza or pub. This place is a gem.

Small plates. Good bar. Casual. Pineapple chili chicken is dynamite, really great. Curried veggies were too raw for us and disappointing; a lot of curry but not cooked into a sauce or anything. Pulled mole pork was good. We have eaten here before and most of what we've had was very good. I would skip the specialty margarita; the chili... More

The staff could not have been more efficient or nicer. The food was excellent. The room was clean and quiet with a great bed. Located in the middle of a small town. Close to Yosemite.

The menu was so creative, so impressed by the location. Atmosphere was great. The food just missed badly. Everything was not quite there. Things needed more texture, the flavors and presentations were nice but it missed. Example the smoked fish deviled eggs. Served on a small little plate, just hard boiled eggs stuffed with smoke fish. Now if you simply... More

The Charlotte Bistro and Bar was absolutely lovely. The menu offers a variety of creative dishes that left us all in awe of the chef. Because it was my first time dining there, I struggled to make my selections.....everything "called to me". Since we arrived before the rush, and I loved that the young creative owner/chef, Doug Edwards, came to... More

Inventive recipes, smiling service and an overall good vibe is what you get at the Charlotte Bistro. This hotel/restaurant has been in Groveland forever, but with a new chef and new management at the hotel...the place is an absolute delight. The green pancakes were a treat I have never experienced before and the prices were reasonable. This is worth a... More

Nice atmosphere, great food, great date or night out with friends. Nice little area to walk around too. Try the lamb meatballs, pork chop, calamari (spicy!). Great wine and beer selection. Can't wait to go back!
