Try the Sweet Potato Fries

This is the perfect place to stop for a fried food fix before Yosemite. I don't eat meat, but I appreciated that there was a farm-raised, grass-fed beef burger option. Initial and ongoing Service was terrible. Finally got a drink and some pretty good onion rings. Lack of service made it a bad experience. Got a smile only when presented with the check.

Fascinating place to stop in for a pint of Kraft Beer and a sandwich. The place is amazing! The girl that served us was friendly and helpful in choosing beer and was cute too. I had the Turkey Club and it was great. I also had a salad and it was fresh and delicious. I hope I get to visit... More

When we entered the Saloon we were amazed by the interior of the place. If we had to only judge the look it would definitely have gotten more points! But if you also consider the food you can't give this place four of five points. The food itself was pretty good, but we got there in the afternoon and they... More

Interesting, loud, active even at 5PM. Old town Bar and Saloon with good food served hot and plenty. Fish and chips were delicious along with 20+ beer "opportunities". All ages, locals and tourists. Good pricing for everything

I live in Groveland and have been to the Iron Door a few times. It is a nice historic bar (claims along with about twenty other establishments to be "the oldest bar in California") with good food and lots of atmosphere. There is live music occasionally. Definitely worth the stop when you are traveling through Groveland on the way to... More

Great staff, good pub food, if you are looking for a good evening in Groveland this is a must. Michelle was great, as visitors from New Zealand she made us welcome and kept the drinks flowing.

Open Mic Night and Buffalo burger were the best! Great bar with friendly crowd. Didn't try the restaurant but the bar was great. Homemade potato chips were excellent!

We ordered a take out dinner from the Iron Door and I had a glass of wine while waiting. It claimed to be the oldest bar in CA, and was very rustic inside. The barkeep was very friendly and there were guests from around the world sitting and talking. Worth to have a least one drink there

Loved this place great food and lots of different beers to try. Evelyn served us and was ever so nice, even when it got busy she was always one step ahead of the game. Everyone made us Aussies feel so welcome. Burgers were fabulous.
