They offered free pool although the tables were in pretty bad shape. The decor is kitchy pioneer but fun. Saturday music was very enjoyable.

This is my favorite place to have a drink around Yosemite because it feels like home to me (small town/woods in Pennsylvania), the taxidermy and old photos on the walls, the dollar bills hanging from the ceiling, the kitschy bar signs hanging around like "free drinks tomorrow", and the flat-out oldness and localness of the place, with a hint of... Leave the Nikon at home and just go drink a beer. Don't be snobby and you'll fit right in, trust me. the drinks are cold, the families with kids are welcome and the food is ... well, it's bar food! the fiancee and I made MANY friends at this place and we had a GREAT time 3 nights in a... More

Good, friendly service. A well known eatery with substantial history. Good selection of burgers, decent flavor. Local selection of beers and ciders. In the winter, the dining room can be a bit on the cold side. Expect to pay more for your food - it is for tourists ya know.

We had a small group of 10 and they gave us the back dining room so that we would have a nicer atmosphere to talk. Food was great. We were there on a Sunday so no entertainment but still a fun place to go.

We stopped by for a meal after reading about the saloon's history. I enjoyed seeing their various artifacts and bits of historical novelties. I had a California burger and a local beer. The burger was better than the beer. My wife had fish and chips, and i was impressed by the fish (didn't expect it to be that good so... More

Great "local" bar......nice bar, nice people.......great beers! The Iron Door is California's oldest drinking place....full of character. Just the right amount of not being a local but you are most welcome.......nice place.

My brother and I liked the Saloon very much. It's the oldest Saloon in hole California. We had a great burger and the staff was very friendly.

This restaurant is ok for your standard sandwiches and drinks. We were there at the end of the season and there were few customers. The atmosphere is what you would expect in an old saloon. I could see this place a little noisy during high season. Ok to try. Very relaxed place to go.
