Nice size portions

Arrived at 6:30pm on a Monday night and we were 5th on a waiting list (popular restaurant)!! Every table gets some chips and salsa while waiting. Many items on the menu (I believe over 30 different entrees) and a good beer selection. Soft drinks & ice tea gets 1 free refill. Food comes out in... read more

We are truly blessed to have this restaurant in our little town of Groveland! Since opening more than 20 years ago, my husband Kevin and I have been regulars at Cocina. Number 20 chicken corn, is his favorite, and mine is a chili rellano burrito with green sauce. If you like your chips slightly dark, simply ask for "Kevin's chips"!

I think this place would be a favorite in a big city. Given the few options available in these small towns this place is even more remarkably good. Probably some of the best Mexican food I have ever had anywhere. Very authentic and not that expensive. Can't recommend highly enough.

W stopped here on a whim whilst driving through. We had to wait upwards of 1/2 hour to be seated but it was definitely worth the wait. The food was excellent as was the service. Prices were very reasonable bill was $30 for two with a drink each. Would recommend

Fourth visit to this popular Groveland cafe that serves authentic and very delicious Mexican food at ridiculously reasonable rates. It's no wonder it's usually quite busy with a wait during the dinner hour. I live in LA and grew up with Mexican food and our recent 8/1/2015 visit, now a tradition whenever we whitewater raft the Tuolumne or Cherry Creek,... More

Great value. Tasty and large portions. You'll have to wait up to 30 minutes on a summer Saturday night. One of the better options in Groveland.

Often little tourist towns don't do so well on Mexican food. I think this one is good enough that it could fare just fine in a much bigger city. Everything is tasty, the portions are large (maybe too large) and the staff is polite. You might have to wait a while if you arrive at dinner time in the summer.

I'm a Mexican food lover, and this was one of the more authentic foods I've ever tasted. The guacamole was delicious, the tacos also great, the beers were so cold, mmm! It was a little crowded, but it was very good!

We were taken back to Mexico for several hours. Excellent fresh food - great service for the overall price paid.

Wow, must have been a bad day for them. The place is certainly a dive. Our party of 7 only had to wait a couple of minutes as people queued up behind us. There just aren't many options in town but this should not be one of them. Our bus boy was new and took our drink order but really... More
