—First of all, understand that you are at the west entrance of Yosemite National Park, a near-wilderness area. Second, It's called Buck Meadows Lodge, not "Le Gastronomique!". That right there should adjust your expectations somewhat. Thirdly, consider that there is only one road passing through and not another eatery for, oh, a good 10 roller-coaster miles. They could get away... More

nothing fancy but it's a clean, pleasant, family-friendly place with good sized portions, reasonable prices, and courteous staff. The grilled chicken sandwich was nice if you want something light, and hubby recommends the barbecued half-chicken.

Average American restaurant with traditional American menu plus some typical Mexican dishes. Good choice in beer and wine.

Good solidly prepared American food. Pleasant staff. We did not find too many options available when we visited Yosemite and rather than driving back to the park after a full day, we found Buck Meadows hit the spot.

The staff are so welcoming and attentive. The menu is large and the food is top quality. Or course its American cuisine but we love a good burger! There is a surprising good wine list and a great range of beers too. We didn't have space for a dessert!

As a spot in the road Buck Meadows Restaurant is truly a must stop. The diner style food was excellent and the staff made you feel quite at home. Would recommend to any hungry traveler. Kudos to our server "Shiloh".

Food was excellent and staff very friendly. We were there during the government shutdown so business was slow. Spent time talking with some of the staff who were all very friendly.

My husband and I had reservations for two nights at the hotel next door. We had dinner here last night, breakfast and dinner here today. Each staff member we've come in contact with has asked us where we are from, whether we were able to see what we wanted to see (parks are currently close due to government shutdown), and... More

We ate one dinner and one breakfast. Breakfast was ok but how can you mess up eggs and toast? We ate dinner here because it was next door to the motel we were staying at and there's nothing else around. My steak was chewy and our waiter was slow and miserable. I believe they stay open because there's not much... More

Visited this restaurant during an evening in August when staying next door at the Yosemite Westgate Lodge. There isn't anything else close by, so this was really the only choice....and I'm glad! The restaurant was busy when we arrived, but we were shown straight to a table by a friendly waitress. The menu is fairly large, with lots of choice.... More
