We invite you to step back in time to enjoy the charming atmosphere of this historical site and to partake in the English tradition of taking tea. Dori's Tea Cottage opened in May 2008 to continue this fine tea tradition and to expand on Dori's life-long love of tea. In 2012, Dori's expanded into the adjacent space that is now Dori's Cafe, which was Groveland's former U.S. Post Office. The Cafe features espresso, gelato, smoothies, fresh brewed iced teas, sandwiches, wraps, quiche, soup, salad and a variety of bakery items. We hope you enjoy your visit - whether you enjoy a quick breakfast, join us for our English tea luncheon, or "Build a Picnic" for your trip to Yosemite.

Dori's Tea Cottage

Small, local café with a variety of cakes and sandwiches. Friendly atmosphere. Also have a selection of gifts and souvenirs. Got great review on Trip Advisor as well.

We stopped for lunch here, cute place if you like cute, ok menu, but food prepared with too much sugar (chicken salad sandwich, salad), long preparation time, rather higher price than I would have expected for a small local shop.

The food was so delicious and appealing to the eye. You should try the weddind tea! Everything was decorated so nicely. Our waitress was kind and helpful. I took my best friend there for her birthday.

Came here on Mother's day. The tea room was full/pre-booked (we didn't realize it was that sort of place, but we get that they're busy on the holiday), so we got food from the counter instead. We came here because of all the rave reviews, not realizing that the place is two completely different restaurants in one. If you want... More

This is a very special and darling place with the most delectable food and personalized service. My boyfriend (now fiance) and I happened to step in here six months ago while we were staying next door at the bed and breakfast. I remember thinking to myself, "what a perfect day [sigh]" as I nibbled on a mini sandwich and sipped... More

Dori has great taste. She knows people eat with their eyes as well as their mouths. Lovingly prepared and elegant plates.

During a recent trip to Yosemite Park we stayed in Groveland. Over the course of a long weekend we made two trips to Dori's Tea Cottage. The first visit we had a delightful apple, currant, and cheddar turnover with cinnamon and apple rooibos herbal tea in the cafe section. During this visit we enjoyed the atmosphere and food so much... More

Let me get the record straight, I am a coffee lover not a tea lover. My better half on the other hand is a Tea lover. So when she saw this place we had to stop. It was wonderful. In the back is a very quaint area where you can drink tea properly. Its very popular with the locals. Always... More

I purchased the Groupon for the tea lunch for two and was pleasantly surprised! I took my Mother who is a avid drinker of tea, and admirer of beautiful things and Dori's provided both. The tea selection was huge, and the two we got were wonderful. The tea lunch special was a light lunch, but had a great variety of... More

We had planned to stop in Groveland for late lunch on our way to Yosemite Valley. My wife's eyes lit up when she saw Dori's as an option. So we dropped in about 2 PM. There was no one else in the back tea room, and just a few patrons in the front cafe. The menu for tea is expansive... More
