www.runningspringschamber.com is the local chamber of commerce site. This is a lovely little restaurant that we ran across in an area that has almost no information on your site. We had terrific burgers here on a snowy day while my daughter was shooting a movie nearby. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner and offer a number of fine-dining entrees from Filet Mingon to King Crab Legs on the dinner menu. I would love to see more information on this area on Trip Advisor-it is a little hidden gem near Big Bear that might offer travellers another alternative while visiting the area. But again, there is NO information (virtually) on the area!! Their phone # is (909) 867-3895, no website listed on their menu.

stopped for lunch on the way to Big Bear

We were running early for Big Bear so stopped in Green Valley to look around and decided to eat at The Malt Shoppe. It's a very small local place. There are some tables outside and inside as well as a counter. They do have a very small section that is a store for some basics. I had a hamburger... read more

I went and it took the staff exactly 23 minutes to make me a malt; an overpriced, unappetizing, malt. It does not take that long to make anyone a malt, considering the place was empty. I was rather shocked by this until I left the restaurant, after paying my bill, where I noticed the staff was in the back smoking.... More

We visited the Malt Shoppe twice. Once to have a brunch-like meal and the other purely for the shakes and malts. The first visit, we walked in. No one up front, so we sat ourselves. This is expected in a small town. The manager is anything and everything. He is cooking your meal, serving you and seating you. Don't expect... More

It's not like you have much choice in Green Valley for ice cream. This is a cozy little place that is always a bit hot and stuffy inside, and has nothing worthwhile playing on the TV. Service is nothing to write home about. Malts are ok, nothing great. Still, if you need some dessert, its the only place for 10... More
