I never should have set foot in Freebirds, that was my first mistake. My second was thinking I could handle what came later. I couldn't. One of the biggest Monster burritos you could ever imagine, in your most dystopian nightmares. Big enough to take you on in the Thunderdome, and win. Terrifying amounts of beef (or chicken, if that's what... More

Ok...maybe the highlight was seeing and chatting up Adam Sandler in line but this food was awesome! Their burritos are huge and very good but my money is on those nachos!

Nachos best I've had. They're the easiest to make but always vary on taste. You get them in abundance. Burritos big N fresh. Much better than chipotle or qdoba in my opinion.

The Freebird's in Isla Vista is the original, and it is SIGNIFICANTLY better than the others they've opened throughout So-Cal. I heard the owners are different (don't know if it is true?) so maybe that is the reason. Anyway- go get yourself some Freebird's. And get the BBQ sauce on your burrito or quesedilla. YUM. The only downside... it is... More

This nice burritos place at Isla Vista is famous for very large courses of burritos and Nachos. The quality is not very good and you must love mexican food if you want to be satisfied when you finish eating here. Only recommended because it is open 24h.

We love Freebird's burritos! They are huge--so you can share or take 1/2 home for later. It's fun to sit outside on the patio watching all the university students buzz by on their bikes and skateboards.

The menu is pretty basic (like and In-N-Out): Burrito, Monster Burrito or Nachos. You can choose beef (Tri-tip), chicken or veggie for each. This makes the long lines go pretty fast. For a family of four for lunch we got the Beef Monster Burrito and Chicken Nachos to share. Both were very good as you can choose which toppings/ingredients you... More

Every time I eat here I feel really unwell the next day. However it is very popular and open really late. Lots of people get nachos there after getting of Bill's bus.
